There are a lot of LEGO cities on RU-vid, this is absolutely one of the best. The forced perspective from the mountains and building facades is amazing. All the little details and lighting take it over the top.
Beautiful layout. I love the forced perspective and the stepping back of the streets. And the lighting is really great and adds so much to the life of you city. The little pedestrian hangouts and walks are fantastic. Also thanks for showing your room off. It's always fun to see the entire space where a person makes and displays things.
amazing layout and yes yoiu will need to start thinking about what you keep in the city and what goes. Space is not infinite, so remove something to make space for something else. It can be hard to say good bye to a lego set in a display but it becomes necessary at some point in time. Best of luck with making your Lego choices and keep having fun.
Found your channel because this video popped up. So I watched your very first video first. Over 6 years ago. Then this one. Wow! What a change over those 6 years. I guess that was v1 vs. v2 as you said. Really enjoyed seeing your city. Very well done and laid out, especially for what you have in the space that you have. The elevation change is fantastic. One of the best I've seen. Whole thing looks fantastic! Can't imagine what you might do if you move to v3 as you eluded to. Like you said, Lego is meant to be built, rebuilt and played with. Clearly you've been enjoying your "hobby" and that's all that matters in the end.

What if you move the monkiekid city to the place behind the Jazzclub. It would cover up the back of it nicely and ad a third layer to the ninjago area, maybe add some kind of small park/garden/entry over the japanese traindoors to blend the areas together. Then you can move the small shops and incorporate them over at the friend houses area because i really like them, maybe make it into even more of a closed plaza.
Ohhh, good idea! The heavenly realms was an experiment to see what’s possible with mountains and buildings. I’m definitely going to add more in the future.
Saw the tantive 4 on the shelf . I very much recommend buying the wall mount for it from ultimate displays solutions . I got it and now it looks like it’s flying on my wall
The city looks great. With new sets it's though to fit everything in, without shifting stuff around or removing a beloved set 😢. Great views around the city 🙌
I still think you could add a portable cart to the standing hole area that would allow you to build on top of it and use that space for the city, but also allow you to move it for access to the city and the storage under the city.
Promonricks has a fuzzy pic of a store display of the Ninjago City Markets. It’s clear enough to give you an idea of how you might want to place it. Keep in mind it appears to be 2 baseplates wide 😮
The draw to your layout is definitely the sight lines and perspective - if you change that, I'm confident you'll find a great layout there as well - just depends how much you value the perspective you have right now. I think you'll definitely need to make room for the new Market - early leaks make it look like it's 2 full baseplates. I'm going to have the same quandary when I finally set my city up again.

the realms are cool but they take away that forced prospective look . if you did a micro version of the realms it would make the mountain look way bigger. but its lego so do what makes you happy.
Great question! My boys are all older so it’s really not a problem. They have free reign to play with whatever they want. The only rule is they can’t disassemble anything on display. The modulars aren’t really moveable due to the lighting, which helps 😉😂.
