This is hands down the best LEGO castle ever produced, all things considered, it is a perfect 10/10. And now story time: I wanted this bad as a kid but my parents couldn't afford it, which was understandable. My best friend at the time didn't even know about it and got it for Xmass. He built it, threw away the instructions as he always did, and within a month disassembled it to play with the parts and merged it with the rest of his disassembled LEGOs in a big abomination of random parts. As a kid, it made me upset enough to remember it to this day, as a 30yo
my parents were too poor to buy me this castle, but now im all grown up, and now im too poor to buy this castle .. atleast i got to enjoy this nice playful review
I'm in the same boat. Was salivating at it as a kid. I can *technically* afford it now, but due to it's rarity I just can't justify spending this much money on something this trivial.
I absolutely adored this set and the knights line as a kid! I still have most of the pieces to this stored in the basement and might try to rebuild it one day. Thanks for sharing
This is the greatest castle Lego ever created. It's bigger than Black Knight's castle and has more features. Where Black Knight's castle is winning for me is definitely minifigs. Much, much better than the ones in here
A nice review of one of my all-time favourite sets. I remember my parents got me this castle for chrismas on ebay when I was a kid, as the top of my wishlist was a castle but King Leo's castle wasn't on shelves anymore at the time. And man was I happy about it. I didn't know it even existed, as it was released before I was born, it was a magical christams. (the seller was even kind enough to sell it and 6036 Sceleton Surpirse for about 50 Euros).
@@bricksofimagination6852 I don't own King Leo's Castle 6091/6098 yet, but I think that the Royal Knights Castle is the better of the two just from looking at them. So I'm glad Leo's Castle wasn't available anymore back then. Tho I still want to add it to my collection. Maybe just to see what wasn't/could've been all of those years ago.
I wanted this castle but I had gotten the Black Knights Castle a couple years before which is a really good castle. And I already got the King from the smaller set so.... I agree with your 'junior' remarks. It didn't have that gritty feel that the previous castle sets had.
Hi Bricks of Imagination. I'm a lego youtuber from Korea. I am making a video related to Lego horses. May I use part of this video? Of course, I'll put the source of your channel in the video!
I like the play-features that you demonstrated but I'm not a fan of the overall look of this particular castle. Also, the building at the front with the blue roof I believe could be an "outhouse". *ahem* :) I agree that the Crusaders crest looks better than the Royals but I also think that the Royal Crest doesn't look great on the chest and flag, but only looks good on the shields, for some reason.
Hehe :) You are right, it might be an outhouse! Lets just hope, that the castle won't get under siege! It wasn't my favorite either. But when I build it, it actually turned out better than I thought it would.
I bought this without instructions for 80 euro. Very happy offcourse. The people didn't know the value I suppose. Bought instructions and box later on for 10 euro XD. So I have a set very valuable.
