@@meltybutterfor the shooting mechanism r u using a hammer? Like when you pull the trigger it hits the chamber letting go of the rubber band cuz I wanna do that but on knex
FN Herstal should hire you lol! Fantastic work, I love seeing RU-vid videos showing how hard it actually is designing things, not just "Designed and done!"
You are very talented i Bartley started making a lego gun and wow not only does it require time it requires pieces. And when you have a talented builder with the right pieces and enough time you get this. How do you do it
i'm not very skilled at this stuff personally, i have adhd so that doesnt really help. i cannot say if this is impressive or not because i dont build stuff like this. i enjoyed this video alot and your stuff is cool.
what you should do is, create a pin in the bolt, and create these special lego cartriges, something like jellytron3000's and use it for the scar-l, to make it truly the most realistic gun, and when will you be doing instructions?
Everytime i see this kind of videos, i ALWAYS wanna make the same thing. BUT i have abselutely NO idea of HOW THE FUCK you build this thing. (edit: also why does it sound so satisfying when you pull the trigger!!?!?!)
i'd say you just gotta tinker with lego guns for a long time haha here is a simpler version of the blowback mech that my gun was inspired by: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bqpEgh6j-eM.html&ab_channel=infectedbear95
Some mechanisms definitely get more complex (the design, not the tolerance/manufacturing part obviously). The main problems are that there is no propellant for the shooting/cycling; the slimmest parts are still pretty thick and in predetermined lengths so the firing mechanism can get really awkward; for the most part you are limited to rubber bands that always get in your way instead of having huge recoil springs, torsion springs, etc
This is amazing. the ejection mechanism is brilliant, and works perfectly and clean. As someone who builds Lego weapons too, this is one of the most fascinating things I've seen. What a masterpiece :D
This is absolutely amazing! It's awesome how you managed to pull of such an amazing build, which not only looks amazing, but functions pretty smooth too! You're way too underrated
Do the other people in the house know of the genius that's occurring? I don't why but the shells you made are my favorite thing about this. The mechanism as well, crazy man
This is some real engineering shit for Lego guns, the casing ejection mechanism seems pretty cool and well thought out after all that trial and error. Nice work!
can u please make a tutorial for this, and maybe a list on all the pieces you need, because i would like to order the pieces and build it myself. But great job. all boys here will love thie
So basically you need to connect the rubber band to the bolt and to somewhere on the back. This means that then when you load bands and shoot the bolt goes back but then when another band is loaded onto the bolt it goes forward.
I really like how much effort you put into this and how you made this progression-style video. It is very fun to watch. When will instruction be out? I would love to build it. Is it possible to add select-fire to this gun? Will you try?
Thank you man! Instructions will probably be out august this summer... I’ve got a lot to do with uni and exams And yes it should be possible, but you would need to make a completely new and more compact trigger group mechanism than the ones available on RU-vid
Pjs are the best my life is not caring about my hygiene but building LEGO watching RU-vid playing video games occasionally and watching Star Wars and sleep and change pajamas
Bro, this is, I believe to be, the best rubber band, heck the best rubber band gun/ Lego Gun I have ever seen, you not only made a really good rubber band gun, but you also made a shell ejecting system! Bravo man!
