Hey dude, nice vid, bit you forgot to mention that there is a compartment behind the main thruster where you can store stuff, you can even see it at the back of the box.
The cockpit has studs you can fit the gun into, which the box shows you to. Plus you can remove the main engine piece to reveal a decent storage that can fit his helmet and a spare spring shooter piece. Still not heaps but the box and manual shows all these features!
Yes they should have made a Fireball. This set is cool in it's own right and it's fine they made it, but would of been cooler to have a Fireball to go along with it sooner rather than later. For that matter Terra Doza's or Hype Fazon's ship would make much more sense with Terra Doza's ship being my person pick especially since she is a major character. Griff is barely seen.
The finish on LEGO parts gets more shiny and smooth as the moulds break-in. the Sparkle-finish stuff is generally from the brand new moulds if I remember correctly
I like how major vonreg’s craft which is clearly and unmistakably a tie interceptor isn’t called a tie interceptor, but this weird contraption gets the interceptor name.
My biggest disappointment is that there’s suppose to be an astromech droid on the black Ace, and it’s pretty unique looking too. Definitely say this should be 10-20 dollars cheaper,
To me that's a perfect set, really love Griff, his minifigure is one of my favourites from the newer SW series and animations. The modified TIE interceptor is very mean! Love it altogether
The back of the instruction manual reminds me of this...does anyone else feel like the Action Battle Sets are a good idea, but just a waste of space? I mean, they look fun, but they feel like gimmicky younger kid stuff, like those little planet series things that LEGO pushed for too long. It just feels like we could have gotten more actual sets maybe a Vulture Droid, or a full size AT-AT. I mean, I hope they do well, I just wish they could all more sets per wave to compensate. Anyone agree?
Did LEGO's licensed set prices get a bump upwards this year? I think I've heard/seen more and more SW sets and such seem more expensive!? Maybe it's just me! Thanks for sharing this review MaRp! It was nice to see everything in detail! I agree on the definition on the TIE Interceptor - this isn't what I was thinking of for sure. It does seem pretty sturdy though :-) Keep up the good work!
I saw these at Walmart today and was wondering what show or movie it was from and thought it was a new Rise of Skywalker set cuz it came with Poe and BB8 thinking the red TIE was possibly the red Sith Trooper’s ship. Is the Resistance a full show? Or just some special? I’ve never heard or seen it so I’m wondering what it is.
Funny how this is called TIE Interceptor, and the actual TIE Interceptor is called TIE Fighter. Did LEGO mess this up? Cool set tho, but not sure if I'll pick it up..
decent ship and original design. I like it and will most likely get it for 40€ anytime this year. Same goes for the tie interceptor that we should probably get for 60€
I love how they call it the black ace but yet its grey and white lmao idk where they got the colors from or the parts for the ship but it isn't a tie fighter cuz they don't have white on them at all
Not an interceptor, but also, not a TIE. TIE= twin ion engines, and this has 3 engines. Stange that they called this an interceptor when they didn't call the red one an interceptor.
Thomas Casillo check wiki. It’s a modified Jedi interceptor + tie fighter. Therefor tie interceptor. It’s impossible to look at this ship and not see the Jedi interceptor rifgt?
I think that Lego is increasing their prices to make us feel that when the set goes on sale we think that we got a good deal... But no! We would be paying what this set is really worth.
Maybe it’s a modded tie interceptor like the z wing was modded into an X-wing It doesn’t even look like a 40 dollar set if it included maybe 2 more minifigs and a side build and plz y not 2 faces
If by “z wing” you mean the Z-95 Headhunter, then no, because the X wing is closer to a hybrid between a Z-95 and the ARC-170, and it’s an actual production ship and not a modification.
This whole wave of LEGO Star Wars has been very disappointing. I did say that the 20th anniversary sets would get me back into LEGO Star Wars but these sets are really not the best.
Am I the only who's annoyed by the fact we got not one but *two* Lego tie interceptors last year and yet neither of them were based off the OG design despite the fact we hadn't gotten an OT Tie Interceptor since the mid-2000's? The TROS one is close but I can't get passed that red coloring.
