I got this set as a kid but as a kid I treated Legos as toys, so I customized my p2 Rex with the gray visor and gray customizable pieces and never put on his blue paldron, as an adult I really regret this lol

I painted the clone pilot p1 and clone captain p1 from the 2013 LAAT and broke the attachment places of the super battle droids (both of them). Lastley I lost ep2 Anakins hair piece, ep 2 obi wan is unessembled. So we've all been there you're not alone :))

Bro my mom let me and brother each get one lego set, and we both got this set. We both wanted captain Rex. I had 3 boxes full of legos and I sold two of them (2016) 🤡 now I have lame mini figures with a ton of random pieces 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 man why am I such a clown

I had to give away the majority of my Lego Star Wars collection about 6 years ago, I really didn't want too, had to because of moving, but I'm really happy to have been able to hold onto two sets, the Geonosion Starfighter and the Barc Speeder with Sidecar. Now that I've been replacing my collection, it's nice to have this one already checked off.

Yeah the release of TCW season 7 combined with more people being at home in the pandemic caused a lot of Star Wars figures to skyrocket, especially Rex.

Randomly bought this in 2013 when they didn't have the set I was looking for at the time...later on I decided to sell some sets I didn't care for anymore, luckily I kept the minifigures and just sold the bikes. Dodged a bullet there whew! I had no idea Rex was worth SO MUCH until like a couple months ago. A nice surprise!!!

You gotta know if Lego did this set again, the barc speeder would have the imperial logo on it, and it would be classified as an OT set. And there would be no minifigures, as they're just a bonus.

The gun on the sidecar is not supposed to rotate. In the episode, it is fixed in place, but the sidecar swivels on a pivot so the gun can have a 180° range of fire.

I was able to find all the pieces to my Rex, and he is in pretty good condition. His visor is misprinted to the side a bit, so I just have his helmet rotated to the left a little bit. Makes sense, since he welded his helmet together out of 2 different helmets.

I remember for my 8th birthday my aunt took me to Walmart and said I could get five things. I got a this, a how to train your dragon sword, a Minecraft toy, an angry birds plush, and Star Wars monopoly. I’m so glad I chose this set over a tie fighter

I played with that phase 2 rex so much hes destroyed he’s got a drill hole in his helmet with an antenna super glued in two cracks in the torso and a crack on his left leg his arms and legs are also very loose

Why did Lego not maintain the hole for accessories on Phase 2 helmets that Phase 1 and Mandalorian helmets have? That's the one issue I have with Phase 2 Rex and (even though I have it) I wish that version wasn't only in this set... maybe Lego could have added an updated design to the duel on Mandalore set.

When the set was released I really liked the design of the set as well as the minifigures, although they weren't the main draw card. The set as whole just looked good to 112 year old me. I persuaded mum and dad to buy it, and really enjoyed playing with the set. the set as a whole was one of my favourites. I went through a phase a few years later when I stopped paying attention to Lego, and it wasn't until a year ago I realized how much the Captain Rex minifigure was. Couldn't believe it.

I got both this and the 501st AT-RT when they came out, and somehow managed to lose all the figs except for the commando droids and phase 2 Captain Rex. My Captain Rex is in mint condition, and no fraying on the fabric either, which is surprising since I got them as a young child.

i got this set at walmart with my grandpa and went and built it in the weight room at my high school,( he was a football coach and i was very young ) it is one of my best memories, though sadly the rex minifig has been lost to time (one of my biggest regrets)

I setup a buy alert on bricklink to notify me if captain rex got put on sale for less than £50 in Europe, like a month later, I got a notification it was up on sale in a random country in central Europe for about £20/25 plus the £10 shipping I bought it instantly and its a great minifig!

My blue Pauldron is faded, and my captain Rex helmet is scratched up. The correct helmet is gone too. I had this set since I was rly young, so I didn’t take care of it to the level I wish I did.

I doubt we ever will again they have been doing a lot more OT sets now because they didn’t release a lot during the whole sequel trilogy era now we are getting some prequel sets in summer and fall waves but almost none in winter waves those are almost always only OT sets

I got this mini figure (Captain Rex) for cheap at a farmers market (not to sure if that’s what it’s called but it was outside with people selling stuff). Expect it doesn’t have the waist cape.

$25 ($30 adjusted for inflation) isn’t really a good deal when you consider last year’s 501st battle pack being $30 and having 6 mini figures. Plus while both have two buildable vehicles the 501st AT-RT is a better value than the droid speeder. While I now really want the Rex I still stand by my decision of why I passed it up all those years ago.

I bought the Phase II Rex at a Bricks & Minifigs store for $55 in 2017 thinking that that price was outrageous but man did I get him at a good time cuz Clone Wars season 7 has caused him to more than double in value since that time😬

It's interesting how everyone was ok with rex not having an antenna piece but now that we have helmet holes, it's all anyone talks about with new clone troopers. I hate helmet holes but I find it interesting that we don't mind such a key part of the rex minifigure being missing here.

I saw the set a few weeks back for 15€, i contacted the seller within 6 minutes but somebody managed to grab it out of my hands by offering more. Imo it should always be first come first serve not more money first serve. I didnt even get a chance to offer more for the set

I put sarauman on the blue droid speeder and matched them with the brown speeder from geonosis duel, cause it is exactly the same build, just different color.

Checked brickling, you can find this Rex for under 100 euro's in Germany. The set without Rex you can get used for 45 euro's in the Netherlands. Which means, with transport costs included, you have a used one for 160 euro's. If you want to purchase these from the USA, I think it will cost you over a 200 dollars. And then you have used stuff. So E-bay isnt far off for a new set. I will keep my eyes around for this Rex, since it does look good.

Funny Bc in the summer of 2020, I got this set complete, the bomb squad battlepack complete, the 2009 clone battlepack complete, the Geonosis battlepack with the clones and droidekas complete, the one tank with the clone wars show jet pack trooper complete, and about 4-5 other sets for $40.
