The next step is that lego-sets are coming in white and I paint it myself, because i'm capable of this. Or what? I pay a lot of money for ucs-sets and stickers are the cheapest and shoddiest way to Do Details on Sets. Other companies are cheaper and are working whit prints.
This was my first UCS set (though not largest). For those who don't have this and are curious, the design is based on the one that crashes into the Executor in epidose VI.
Very nice set, I am waiting to arrive, just 2 or 3 days and I can put my hand at work. I am waiting for the summer wave of Technic sets too, especially for the Lambo.
well the ucs millenium falcon took me 34 hours with knolling (which is where you lay out all the pieces individually), so this kit should take you about 7 to 8 hours
Also before buying, check out various sellers. I purchased mine from Lego for 179.99 pounds. Free delivery for purchases above 50 pounds. Amazon for the same product asks 208.00 pounds plus a delivery charge of 30 odd pounds. Having bought from Lego I saved 40 pounds. Shop around before buying.
I just started building this set. I enjoy numbered bags. 11 numbered bags in total. Each numbered bag only has additional smaller bags inside. I like this because in some sets, a numbered bag could have additional outer bags with the same number. The box is quite heavy. So there are 11 stages to complete. The instruction manual gives an introduction by the designer of the set about the A-Wing. There is 267 pages to complete, 508 steps. The completed build measures 42cm in lenght, has a stand to be mounted upon.
I got this set for Christmas and I opened today and some idiot decided to reseal everything and put it back on the shelf so I have missing pieces and no stickers
Hallo lieber Holger: ich kannte bis dato deine Channels (HWS und ALF) als "Landsmann, bin Österreicher, "shame on me" leider nicht! (bin erst seit der "Corana-Krise" wieder zum Klemmbausteinthema gestoßen, "25 Jahre absolute Abstinenz" bei Lego und inzwischen mit 50+ wieder total begeisteert, was sich in diesem Metier so getan hat, toll, verfolge seit gut 6 Monaten,lol, wieder Sämtliches in diesem Genre!...und bin "Cobi-Fan" geworden,lol! - herrlich! ;-)) meine ersten Modelle waren die TITANIC und alle 3 bisherigen U-Boote von den Polen-Suuuper! - like that! ;-)) Hat zwar mit "diesem" von dir Vorgestelltem nichts zu tun, wollte aber nur einmal erörtert haben, dass mir "deine Art" einen YT-Kanal zu betreiben, echt sehr zusagt!...auch deine Streamingteilnahme bei "BBfH und Thorsten's Stammtisch stehe ich echt sehr positiv gegenüber! Neutral und ohne Gehate , auch Lego-Alternativen inzwischen in dein Programm aufgenommen zu haben, finde ich echt sehr symphatisch, so muß und soll das sein - Cobi, Cada und einige Andere verdienen es sich inzwischen, publik gemacht zu werden - geh sehr konform mit dir-tolle Ansicht deinerseits!!! - weiter so!!! l.G. aus Niederösterreich

PS. bin auch SW-Fan der ersten Stunde, ich liebe das Franchise, aber UCS-Models sind mir immer viel zu "expansive" gewesen und das Platzproblem stellte sich für mich sowieso ständig! - für echte "SW-Freaks" - warum nicht-Jeden das Seine! ...ich bersorge mir generell nur "Klemmbausteinmodelle", die mir zusagen, egal von welchem Hersteller - bin da sehr liberal,(weder AFOL noch AFOB), jedoch lege ich sehr viel Wert auf das finale Design und da differenziere ich schon so manchen Hersteller!
