I said it’s only available through lego until August 1st but that might be outdated info it’s just what a few sources told me. It’s probably worth checking your local stores
@@TheFirstCurse1 Well I do agree that Lego probably won't do something like this in the future. But I guess is my point is they can and its always possible that things with speculative value can change dramatically.
From what I remember lego has never called a Star Wars figure exclusive in a set they always just say “new”. So with that in mind they knew exactly what they were doing to drive sales of both the venator and Rex on his own on bricklink.
@@ledinyourwalls The Clone Commander was a very unique and stupid situation. As for Pilot Luke, when is the UCS version in another set? The keychain doesn't count.
No controversy as far as I'm concerned. I'm glad that everyone is able to get a rex now. I don't think ucs sets should have exclusive anything. Because ucs is about the build not the Minifigures. That's why I buy them. The set not anything else.
So you're okay with LEGO lying to their customers and using deceptive marketing to manipulate people? It's an objective fact that what LEGO did was wrong in what they did. And UCS sets should always have exclusive figures. They're cool bonuses that are often the best version of the character. You're paying a lot of money for the set, so it just makes sense. But this is actually debatable.
I swear, every review I watch of this set is 70% rant about the captain Rex minifig. If you want to talk about it make it in a separate video please. This is not hate, I love your videos. Keep it up!!
I disagree, I’ve already made the mistake of talking about it too much in other videos that weren’t even about the set. It’s best to fully dive into it in the actual review when it is 100% relevant then to have it take up content in other videos where it’s not the main focus.
Found mine today at target on display on a endcap so it’s worth checking target and some employees have said you’ll start seeing them on shelves June 9th
The fact were getting a captain rex with arm printing and a shoulder pauldron is insane on its own, lego definitely shouldnt have made it "exclusive" first tho or given some reward for those that bought it before the microfighter
I would’ve preferred it if they made an actual scaled Rex’s Y wing and somehow hid a 25th anniversary Arc Echo to release alongside him. Would’ve been a dream
With the exclusivity of Rex in the venator being a broken promise, investors still have the old Rexes they can overcharge for. It's not like a pefect remake of Cloud City Boba Fett is just suddenly back in a microfighter, ruining his worth and rarity. Old Rex is still as rare as it's always been.
They should make a set depicting the scene where he got his chip removed. It would be a great play set and the minifigs would be legendary. Asohka, maul, Rex, Jesse, 501st, and they could remake fives. So many options. I think it would work best as a Darth Vader transformation like set. Idk
How dumb that they couldn't just make one small change like remove the bandage, or change the design slightly on the torso of rex. Just to make him different for the "exclusive" $600 set one. Mind bogglingly dumb.
The ones complaining about this set arent real fans. They just like hsving an expensive fog to brag. Like Jangbricks said, this is a win for every fan that matters. If you collect for value or to resell, or are like Mandr and a fake fan, you dont matter. Im glad they gave us th same as well. I dont care that they went back on their word. If you bought the venator, a 6500 piece set for a minifig, you need a reality check. Yall still get Yularen, who is still a great fig. Rex belongs to the masses. Go buy your $2000 cloud city boba you wankers. Some of us own him when we bought the set normally.
So if i understand this , Lego is saying the term Exclusive is the same as storyteller. Which mini figure is next.?? Lord of The Rings.. Batman.. Ninjango.. Marvel.. lego has certainly placed a shadow over their use of the word exclusive.
From what I remember lego has never called a Star Wars figure in a set exclusive they just say “new”. I’d love for someone to give me a time when they specifically called another Star wars figure exclusive in a set but I’m pretty sure this is the only case. So with that in mind they knew what they were doing
Well, everyone has their own opinion, and so do I. Let's say it annoys me that there are "special" figures behind the USC sets, and it's not just the price, I have money, I bought an ARC 170, and more withdrawn in a last year, but I don't have room for such bigger sets, I'd like Falcon, but where with him?! And the figure Rex went for up to $100.. Now the people who bought it are angry, but 99.9% of other Lego Star Wars fans are very happy like me..
This video is incredibly powerful. It shows Five lonely clones from the RU-vid channel 'Five Lonely Clone"' laughing at the face of the negative aspects of lego, forming an army of protesters
1:36 that box is not for the kama, because lego refuses to give us cloth kama for literally no legitimate reason. It’s for his pauldron which is, as said, too big.
I think it is available June 1st, but it's Target exclusive in the US and because of that most Targets are sold out, so it just seems like there aren't any available.
@@derekamaro7703Or maybe realize that LEGO lied to their customers and used deceptive marketing and false advertising. But keep on being so brave and stunning for defending the billion dollar monopoly.
@@TheFirstCurse1”deceptive marketing and false advertising”, it was literally one vague phrase in the instruction manual, which you only read AFTER buying the set. If someone took that and decided to spend $650 because of it then that’s on them.
