Lego Star Wars Clone Wars Ship Defence Stop Motion 

Thanks so much I really appreciate it. The droid walking cycle was very very frustrating to animate, but I'm really happy with how it turned out and hope to use it again in future animations. I was also really happy with the set design, and I think I might re-use that as well, or at least something similar in the future.

@@clonepilotace Yes, Im actually bad at building sets so if u can do a set building tutorial that would be get.

@@arctrooper8814 What I try to do is I plot out where I want my scene to take place in, in this case a republic ship hallway. Then I will look up "republic venator interior moc" or something like that to get inspiration. For the birdge of the ship I watched a couple clone wars episodes and tried to mimic the set as best I could. A lot of it comes down to wisely using the parts you have. For example the side wall panels with the white bricks could be easily moved because I built them sideways using the skinny bricks and slid them into their place. Regardless though I always try and make sure 100% of the set covers the part I'm shooting in so no background walls or unwanted things are in the shot.

@@samina99 Gree was the one I didn't have during that time so I was happy to get him second hand and use him for this video. I used him because he was the only one without armor so it would be easier to animate, but I will use others in future projects.

Thanks so much I really really appreciate that. I put a lot of hard work into this one, as you can see it's a lot longer than lots of my stop motions. As for question 1, I haven't done any tutorials so far but I can tell you this. For stop motion itself, I do all practical effects. So if you pause the video, you'll see the lasers are just lightsaber pieces attached to "1x1 open stud bricks" with clay. And with my animation, I've taken inspiration from other common creators. Another piece of advice is to try and make it flow as fast as possible. As for the scenery, I build them up so no artificial background is showing at any times (a wall, your desk, a lamp etc). It's all either a brick built wall or building (in terms of interior or city shots), or a blue paper "sky" background or brick built mountains/hills (in terms of exterior shots). As for a part 2, that's a fantastic idea and in fact I've written it down. I think I might just do that in time, thanks so much for the idea.

@@Rush-g6c Mine take a long time, you just have to keep pushing! This one you're commenting on took 1-2 months I think, but I only did a little bit everyday, so sometimes they go faster or slower depending on how much work I do on them per day/per week.

Thanks a lot, a lot of work went into it. It's a bit clunky because it's my first stop motion and I was limited by the amount of P1 clones I had but I think I made it work.
