This set is how the Knights of Ren transport ship should have been.

This set has more interior space than the 100 dollars Bad Batch Shuttle Attack set, That's wild.

Opening all the hatches and doors makes this look like a Swiss Army knife!

When jang talks about the mortar trooper Only being a stormtrooper with yellow lines on it Is he referring to the Lego designer who said that about the phase 1 clone in the UCS gunship only being a clone with orange markings on it etc

No doubt, one of the best Lego Star Wars sets of recent years. -good figures (army building stormtroopers and two unique ones) -good price for everything, good amount of pieces and good features, and not too much if you want an army of them -great quality, design, interior -NO STICKERS!!!

This is a set that what I want to see more in future, not expensive, good & accurate build, good figures, and pretty good build quality, for me this is the best set in this 2021 Lego Star Wars line-up, as always Jang, great reviews and I really enjoyed it:D

A cheap transport vehicle set that is actually able to serve as a transport, multiple storage units, self defense weapons, an almost complete crew complement and no stickers This is just the 2020 AT-AT all over again... IT"S GREAT!

Just by size comparison, this thing has more play features and usable interior space than much larger sets. I owned the original Kenner troop carrier when I was a kid, and while this is not exactly the same, it does give me nice nostalgic feelings.

Great set that uses it's space really well. Great figures too. Definitely one of the better sets for the summer wave

I like that the plank with the chairs can be removed to make room for more troopers/chairs side by side. Also I like that the side panels can come off and have it turn into an imperial bus.

The turret does indeed rotate 360°, we see it done in the show. But I think it's better to remove the 1x2 trans red plate and move the dark gray modified plate back to minimize the gap

Reminds me of the Winged Winnebago _"Eagle 5"_ from Spaceballs. Add some patio chairs, an awning, and some propane accessories and you have the ultimate space RV :)

There's just something about Imperial craft that lends itself well to being in LEGO form! Maybe it's the utilitarian/military purposefulness of them; but this along with the 75300 TIE Fighter, 75288 AT-AT, and 75152 Hovertank are all great examples of awesome sets that combine fantastic detailing in Minifig-playscale with ZERO stickers! Can't wait to pick this one up to complement my Imperial collection.

Honestly one of my favourite modern star wars sets, I absolutely love transport sets you can fill with figures (looking at you knights of ren transport)

I've been staring at these a lot when deciding what lego Star Wars set I should buy next. And that's gonna be the tie fighter

Picked this set up immediately it was available. Absolutely worth it. Simple concept, but ended up being one of the Best in the lineup this year.

This is the set a second Cara Dune figure should've been in. That way we could've had a second Dark Trooper in the Moff Gideons Light Cruiser set.

I really like the diverse stormtrooper, I really can't see a reason why they wouldn't be different from one another. More usable faces and more stormtroopers!

The design and functionality is actually great and worth the $40 imo. Yes it's not big, but what a fantastic use of space and play value with all the hatches and canons etc.

The yellow troopers mortar you can easily modify to actually launch peices using a stud launcher, makes it a bit bigger but also fun

You know Lego messed up when even JANG is calling them out for "stormtrooper with some yellow"

Stormtroopers are not clones, so I am 100% behind the variety of heads they include! Especially since they are in flesh tone and not city yellow. Really a nice way to get "unique" figures mixed with army builders. I hope they don't just use those 3 heads in every set though.

I really wish Lego would go back to the old Stormtrooper helmet mold. That Mortar Trooper is really cool, but the use of that new helmet just ruins it for me.

If you wait long enough Target will at some point sell this set for $5 cheaper, as they mostly do with newly released sets. It all depends on how well the LEGO set sells in the store.

This set hits the mark on so many points that it’s hard to really argue with. I only have two suggestions - making it a bit larger, and having added a few stickers around particular on the front to indicate scoring which would have given it a bit more character. The lack of a lighter-hearted face on the Carl Weathers mini fig is the biggest flaw.

Yeah, fair enough- 'overpriced' in the sense that LEGO is crazy expensive in general, but realistically nowadays this just looks a solid set- looking forward to getting my hands on it!

Totally agree with this review. Perhaps a bit more positive about the price, but ... nope I also agree on that matter. And I nust say, it is one of the better star wars sets of this sizr I have seen in last few years.

I also remove the part to have the rear guns rotate 360. i have no idea why lego added a stopper to prevent it.

I think of this as sort of being like the equivalent of an IFV built on an APC chassis, and I always like Star Wars things that line up with real design concepts, like the sharing of parts between vehicles.

I miss the old Stormtrooper helmet mold from the Rouge One sets! Those were perfect and didn't need to be changed. The new one is too bulky and hard to turn the helmet on it

It looks a bit small, but it seems fair for the price to me given how many pieces there are and how many features it has

We already got different race and gender Stormtroopers in various books and battlefront 2015. So yes there might be complaints but they'll be sourced from people who don't actually know the lore as much as they think they do. As far as I know the only requirement is that you be in a certain height range (though that may not apply to disney canon, old canon did have a restriction against female stormies but new canon very much doesn't because there is multiple female stormtroopers in lore)

Wow this set is much better than I expected, so much space for figures! It boggles my mind that people complain we're Finally getting more variety in the stormtrooper heads. The famously xenophobic Empire canonically recruited men and women of all races, they were only prejudiced against alien species. Considering the 1 alien they did have in a position of authority could have run 2 of Palpatine's Empire an order of magnitude more efficiently, maybe aliens were the way to go. I digress. I got this set last night. I was looking for the space theme, but instead got this. Eventhough it is a bit pricey, the built is really good and solid. No regrets. 😊

Probably the best value of the entire Summer wave. 4 minifigs, 3 troopers with an exclusive, tons of playability, excellent price to part ratio. Seriously nothing to dislike unless you don't like gray or something.

I wish more ships were designed like this. A lot of seating space, not super huge, but also cost good. Edit: at the time of this comment the price is $31.99

Been interested to hear what you got to say about this set Jang, happy to know your thoughts on it:) I like the set overall, but I think some components like front armor panel, lower side door hinges and the 4x4 floor plate are attached rather too weakly for play. First two especially seem to come off too easily (even when you handle the thing gently), so I wish they were attached differently. Really like the way rear side bulges are attached though (glad you mentioned their WW1 tank inspiration), that was a lot more clever than I expected. I could use a more accurate looking, non-shooty main turret, but thankfully it doesn't take too many pieces to make a decent looking new one, so that's fortunate. Not entirely satisfied with the biggest hatch on the top, I think that part could use more friction to hold itself opened. I really think they could incorporate a stud-shooter into the mortar though (instead on the hull guns/main turret), I find that to be such a big missed oportunity. Just replace the top black cylinder with one of those handheld blaster type studshooters (with the grip facing the rear), and use either a 1x1 stud/round plate, or something a bit larger like a stack of them, or a 1x1 cylinder with one of them attached at the top. It's been so much fun to shoot them in a realistic trajectory, in fact this has been the most fun (and a lot of fun) I had with those otherwise ugly and useless parts (sorry, lol). And it doesn't look that weird. I would've preferred it if this vehicle was in all light bluish grey, but I guess dark bluish grey doesn't look too bad. The set is a good enough basis for modifications to make it a bit more accurate. ps Kind of a shame they didn't include a scout trooper, they seem rather hard to come by (cheap).

It’s great IMO. I wish it was a touch larger, but it’s neat! Plus a unique figure and 2 unique storm trooper faces.

I really think it's good that Lego is switching up the ethnicity and sex and stuff of the faces under the stormtrooper helmets. Not only is this a good thing for Star Wars but it's also a good thing for Lego in general since it puts a variety of different sorts of flesh-colored Minifigure heads which can be used for ALLL sorts of things.

I can see people buying more than one of this set, you can never have too many troopers. I like the different heads for the troops, because they are useful heads for other possible characters. You can swap them out for any random head cause with the helmet on you won't know the difference.

why no Cara Dune or the blue guy? also, shouldn’t it come with some Scout/Bike Troopers on those greyish speeder bikes, and not these Stormtroopers? but also, I’d love a set of that Imperial Dropship from that one episode, where the Mortar Trooper would be appropriate.

I don't know if I've ever enjoyed a gray build as much as I did this one. The HMS Chonkington makes me very happy. I removed the stopper as well. And for once, the shooters didn't bug me!

Good history summary Jang. I have one of the original Palitoy versions from early 80s. (Palitoy had the UK rights to produce figures and vehicles.) I'd like to have seen the front end be more rounded, but I like the genealogical reference and the playability

Removing the two tan pieces and the silver grid piece allows easily standing three troopers inside; seat the other three and a squad works just fine internally as I discovered.
