1:48 Fun Fact: Ships like this actually exist both in Legends and Cannon. When you make an entirely new ship from two different types it’s called an Ugly
The Dark Falcon is exactly what I wanted, no comments tbh Tie-Wing vs X-Fighter is okay, great for kids, the best part of it really is the droid, would be nice to get the main characters too but not necessary Need to see Jedi Bob now Finally, it's a special about the main character somehow messing with reality, not a about a kids imagination
Never really liked the white armor tbh Like, redeemed Anakin is a great concept but the armor is meant to be black 😂 or maybe the right shade of red. It’d be like if Maul were redeemed and all his black spots turned white. In the words of Thor “The red and white is hideous, just pick a color”
Ah yes, the iconic Lego theme with absolutely no resemblance to Lego at all lol I can't believe Lego would actually reference Scala in 2024 but here we are
Hopefully it's not a clone trooper and we get an exclusive new 2024 Version of jedi Bob.Because we know in this set that we're going to get the original 2003 I'm more excited about the millennium Falcon I cannot wait to get those characters
@@fennekin1750 2017 was also the best year! we got all the stone Nexo Knights sets which just look so good aswell as Electro Jestro and Ninjago Season 7 which is my favourite season
@@Xeorboom I don't like S7 that much. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate it or anything, its just not the best; pretty good, tho. And Nexo's 2017 sets were cool, yea
I DESPISE that LEGO continues to use the dark grey ball bracket piece on the TIE when THEY LITERALLY use the matching light gray right above it.... what is their thought process on that?? Makes no sense. I swapped out the dark grey bracket on my own for another light gray pair and it works perfectly. Literally makes no sense that they keep using the dark grey one
It’s one of their stupid building laws or something in that vein.. they can’t repeat parts because of the possibility of it being “confusing”… dumbest thing ever I swear.
I love both of these sets. The x wing and tie fighter mashup is actually really cool, because it encourages creativity, which is Legos whole thing, to be creative and make fun things with their bricks, and also, L3-GO is super cool. The dark falcon is ok. I love the colors, and the mini figs like the light side Darth Vader and finally, after all these years, Darth jar jar himself. I also just want to mention that the luke figure looks like the dude from the big Lebowski.
Funny enough the X-wing/Tie Fighter set reminded of a special classification of Ship in Starwars that are basically a mashup between different ships, usually made and used by pirates. They are usually referred to as ‘Uglies’ due to such an eyesore they create.
The Falcon was painted black after Chewbacca's death at the start of the Yuuzhan Vong War and I might make a few custom Vong to go along with this set.
The X-Wing is the best play-scale one we have gotten so far in my opinion. The color scheme is incredibly accurate. It’s much bigger than the 2021 model. It also is the first play-scale X-Wing to have pointed sides instead of flat ones. The pointed sides have only been present on UCS versions until this one.
Are you forgetting the 2018 one? The wings and mainly the engines, are actually proportionate to the entire starfighter. This and the 2021 versions are super skinny
@@rodrign007 This one looks like the same size as the 2018 one if not bigger. I don’t think this one is skinny at all. I think you should compare them again. This one and the 2018 one both have the same width on the nose. You can think what you want. But I think this one is the same size and better.
Why do lego hate star wars fans. Just make it a proper double pack like we had the single packs before and add 2 storm troopers for army building. That set would fly off the shelves. Instead they added 2 minifigs that technically means you'll only buy this set once and that's it. Also just to note, I do like the Mcdonalds R2D2.
The Dark Falcon is almost worth it for the minifigs alone, but unfortunately I don't have room for it. I already made a custom Darth Jar Jar minifig, along with a small diorama of him fighitng Skippy the Jedi Droid. I am interested in the X-Wing and TIE Fighter--or is it TIE-Wing and X-Fighter?--set. And of course I'm looking forward to the Jedi Bob set.
is it ok to think that they couldve taken the 2 main characters from rebuild the galaxy out of the tie v x-wing set and sold it like a regular original trilogy set and it would still be good
I came back to say I’ve done it!!!! I pre ordered the Dark Falcon ain’t getting burned and waiting weeks like I did for Rex, that set and it’s minifigs especially will be immensely valuable in the future, so happy I pre ordered 😎
The X-wing & TIE Fighter mash-up set is actually a reference to a type of starfighter from Legends known as "Uglies", that were literally just hodge-podge fighters created by throwing together whatever spare parts the mechanic could get their hands on. Totally awesome to see them getting more recognition from LEGO (Uglies were also referenced in Freemaker Adventures).
They are making a whole milenium falcon for a Lego movie i havent heard of. Someone had even mentioned these sets in another video and i thought it was a joke or something.
That new astro mech grabbed my attention. Back in the early 90s my best friend was into the SW books and at school he encouraged me to come up with my own character so we could play Star Wars at recess. I had a bounty hunter who wore the armor from Metroid II with a matching yellow and red R2 unit. If I could find the right colored dome piece for it I could actually make my first droid buddy, P2-G2!
I know I would be destroyed if my comment reaches a particular type of Lego fans, but I really hope that white Vader comes in a cheaper set in the future. It would be a wasted potential to keep that magnificent minifig in only one (expensive) set.
I haven't watched Acolyte yet, but I actually want at least one set based off it. You guys are probably just overexaggerating like you always do. Its probably decent-at-best, at the very least.
The new falcon wont sell well. The solo movie milenium falcon didnt sell well because it didnt look like the original and the previous one had only just been in stores wich was the one people would have wanted.
For myself who didn’t buy the x wing couple years ago and have a modded tie fighter, this new set is great. Granted I’ll wait for a discount but the tie looks good than before and the x wing looks alright
Are you kidding? Another one x-wing and tie fighter? Another one time? How many those ships we already have? 10? 20? And they are getting smaller and smaller...
Still confused why we never got any Bad Batch S3 sets, especially when they could capitalize on all those new Clones that got about 5 min of screen time
I've been waiting 13 years for an original trilogy Falcon. I think I'm just going to go with the midiscale one if they continue that line and make more ships in that size
GIMME!!! These look AWESOME!!! The minifigs look INSANE!! Jedi Vader looks sick!! The Sith minifigs look awesome! Darth Jar-Jar, Rey, and Dey(?) look so cool! Evil C-3PO looks cool! The Dark Falcon and TIE & X-Wing set looks awesome!! Beach Luke looks great!! I love these sets already! I can't wait for Jedi Bob's Starfighter to be revealed! And, I can't wait for "Rebuild the Galaxy"! Its so cool and interesting, and whats extra cool, is the fact that it comes out on my birthday!! Edit: L3-GO looks great, too!
Fun fact: Jedi Vader’s face represents Sebastian Shaw, the actor who played Redeemed Vader. Basicaly, there was an unused version of Anakin as a force ghost, and it showed Sebastian instead of the actor who played Prequel Anakin. (Forgot his name) Hope you liked it!
Interesting, hilarious, exciting, impressive, risky (?), investable... *Quite frankly there are many words I have to describe this small range of Lego Star Wars sets, after seeing first pics with my own eyes. Will surely be a more striking to see them in-person i.e. inc on display! I anticipate, when it doesn't usually cross my mind.* It will be interesting to see how long or short they remain actively stocked for, amid my understanding that people maybe want an original trilogy same price-range (or less lol) Falcon. Indeed the 2019 one has been selling in the first-party economy for nearly 5 years. I am still yet to get a Falcon, and will be sooner (2019) or later (2024)...
I'm sorry. The figs are cool but this is a color swap cash grab on the Falcon. This might be the best play-scale version but it needs an update. This would have been the time to utilize new pieces, scale down, and introduce a brand NEW Falcon in anticipation of another NEW original Trilogy Falcon. I refuse to cave on this one. I have purchased 4 play-scale Falcons and ZERO remain in my collection! They are all gone! I'm sorry this is just LAZY beyond the new figs.
I never thought we’d see an official 2024 Lego set of "uglies" from the old Rogue Squadron novels! Nice. Not so nice: callbacks to the dreaded Episode 9. 😖
Maybe I didn't pay attention at first, but I think you forgot to mention the 'Jedi Vader' figure for 'the Dark Falcon'. Which I might add is likely based on Vader's alternate ending appearance from the 'Star Wars: Infinities: Return of the Jedi' comics.
The X-Wing and TIE fighter concept is nothing new. In Star Wars lore they’re called “Uglies” and they’ve been around for years, this is in no way LEGO’s idea.
I get retiring the RoS Falcon and I think the Dark Side Falcon is a cool concept but its going to be really annoying if the only Falcon available for the next five years is going to be off model the movies. Love the X-Wing TIE pack and Jedi Bob's Starfighter as these work as sets referencing both the Lego SW universe and the regular version.
I personally love the tie/x-wing mashup set.. gives me early 2000's vibes where they showed you alternate builds and stuff on the back of the boxes. It's actually what Lego should still be about, using your imagination and creativity.. but sadly the now adulting man childs of the internet are losing these two things.
For me the only reason to get these is due to the possibility that it is the only time we would get them. I did not like the Disney Sequel or the Star Wars crap that they are putting out. The Disney plus series had mixed success. Andor was good, Obi-Wan Kenobi , Acolytes, and the 3rd season of Mandalorian sucked, Ahsoka was ok, and the 1st and 2nd season of The Mandalorian was very good.
The new show and the sets remind my a lot about The Freemakers and the other Lego Star Wars Shows, like they were soo awesome. Can't wait till I'll have some more money to spare to buy them :D. The figures, all of them look soo freaking amazing, though it's a bit of a shame that Vader couldn't have blue eyes on his helmet :C. Hope to see more soon, especially the Jedi Bob starfighter and maybe even the show itself ;)
I am honestly more excited for Light Vader and Beach Luke than Darth Jar Jar, I just love the way those minifigs came out. The black and red coloring on the Falcon itself rocks too.
The back of "the tie fighter vs x wing" set looks like the back of classic, 1999 lego star wars sets where it showed minifigures making alternate builds of its sets
Not gonna lie, the falcon looks ok, but it's almost identical to the previous version and if I pull the trigger this time, it'll be because of some of the figures. I won't buy it unless it's on sale which will likely happen The dual x wing and tie thingy is absolutely awefull but the lego droid is cool. They managed to make the tie look even worse than the 2021 version and while I like the nose of the new xwing, the engine build and the wing gimmick makes it somewhat worse looking than the 2021 one, which is hard to believe.
