I've been waiting for this year's Studio Tour and it has not disappointed at all! I love seeing the works of people's collections and organization ideas etc. Great stuff Cheesey! And that is a very cool Evil Dumbledore figure, you should make more Cool Harry Potter customs lol
I recently just reorganized my LEGO collection, and I found it a bit difficult to catalyze everything. Some parts are more closely related to others, but others have overlapping similarities, and I was trying to figure out the “family tree”.
I know it might be a massive commitment, but I think the player base being a large part of the underground modules, like a massive series of interconnected parts all coming together would be cool!
Atlantis, castle with orcs and green dragons… all things that young me was looking at old lego catalogs before sleep… I can't wait for revisiting video on that ones😍
What a delight! As always! For me, looking through one’s collection evokes the same feeling as going to a garage sale and seeing Lego bins ready to rummage through.
Hey cheesy, I have a question. I have a decently large lego collection (nowhere near yours though), and I prefer to lay out my storage in a way that I can sit on a rolling chair and access everything without constantly getting up and opening drawers. When you freebuild, do you ever get annoyed having to get up and access everything? Also what is the name of the black storage cases you have on the table at the start of the video.
I used to have a collection small enough to do that, and yeah, it was nice. Now, I usually grab all the containers of the pieces I need and set them up around me on my build table so I can access them easily. Still works out pretty well! I mention the brand at the end of the video - can't remember off the top of my head
I personally like Tiago’s sorting system. There are some good Homestock dressers from Home Depot for less than $100 each. Not super high quality, but for LEGO it is perfect and worth it. It is a hassle to assemble though. Lots of room per drawer.
my collection is about 80-90K pieces about 25% of which are under 4x4x4 in size. Is this comparable to what you mean when you reference your "small collection"? I am just curious @@CheeseyStudios
Always like seeing people¨s Lego in the form of room tours. It´s helpful if someone tried to make their own Lego displays and building areas, see what furniture or storage systems work the best.
Such an amazing video, love to see how others sort their lego and honestly my favourite cheesey video 😅. Looks like a pretty sweet setup you’ve got and this video totally dilivered on my hype for it ❤😊
Thank you! It's an almost deceptively practical and functional space. That review table is also the work table, and that bright lighting works well for filming and building!
oh this is lovely! such a treasure trove you have down there. i keep forgetting that all those builds are huge, both the island and the minecraft world. just wow truly enormous things. the idea of them even existing brings me a lot of joy. also goddamn player base?? stronghold?? i was already going to see the minecraft world through till the end but now even more so. you have so much work ahead of you, and even though a lot of us enjoy it I hope you enjoy it too and don’t get burnt out on this huge project.
Really glad you liked the tour! And yeah, the builds are so big 🤣 That's just kind of how I roll I guess. Big big plans for the Minecraft world for sure - I think 2024 is going to be quite exciting!
Really awesome studio Cheesey! My recent addition was a 300lbs max weight limit Teak wood raisable building table. No more shakes and wobbly building experience hah! I need to redo my lighting in mine as the cheap amazon special china LEDs have already gone out or flicker on me. Sweet tour video though!
It's gonna be epic! Hopefully I can get started on it before the year ends. I think I need to do the Knights' Kingdom video before it, but then that's next on the Revisiting checklist
Very fun studio tour, I've been looking forward to this video. I myself think that it is a worthy investment to keep all of your Harry Potter minifigures behind a glass case, because dust is definitely a very annoying part when it comes to Lego collecting. For the past couple months or so I have been trying to clean and sort every single piece, minifigure and set that I have to the best of my abilities and well let's just say there is still a lot of cleaning left😆
2:08 I see some Ninja instruction booklets! Video about LEGO Ninja wave some day? :3 I can't imagine how long would take to count every single piece you have in your studio XD XD But nice you have your joy place n.n I will have soon my own bedroom, and I will invest some time into making it appropiate for displaying sets, sourting pieces and building stuff n.n So this video is a big inspiration for me n.n 5:35 Love the gilligan cut to Darth Dumbledore there, it was pure comedy XD XD
My dream is to do 'Revisiting LEGO Ninja' one day! I only have two sets, but I'm working on parting a lot together with my collection too. It'll be a great project for the slow season!
So does the original zombie pigman figure count as a player skin now? It's technically not an official Minecraft mob anymore, since it's been replaced with the zombified piglin.
I'm guessing Rivendell was destroyed in a LEGO war where some enemy faction invaded and nuked it or something? That's what would have happened if I had it as a kid at least.
Sometimes I’ve been able to get sharpie off of LEGO by drawing on top of the sharpie spots with a dry erase marker and wiping away with a tissue. Rinse and repeat until clean! Can take some time, but it can work even a year or two after the sharpie marks were made!
Seeing how people sort their massive parts collections always blows my mind, my loose pieces bin is at least 1/10th the size of yours and every time I've tried sorting it I've given up, its just too much work 😂 How do you start organizing from 0 with so many pieces??? I'm so tempted to just start from scratch buying pre-sorted pieces, lol
yo cheesy with Ur biomes i suggest ur biomes they need to be bigger il try to donate as much as i can and id like to see a spruce village or a player castle that would be cool or a ocean monument.
Love the setup! 🐐🔥The new wall logo is AMAZING! I wish there was a universally perfect method for sorting, it's such a personal thing! Your method seems to work great for you! Those Minecraft bins are really fun. I store my minifigs in a similar way. They get special treatment!
I remember subscribing after your original Minecraft village build, and your channel has been so much fun to watch grow. All your videos are so nice and your builds are always incredible. You really are one of my favorite Lego RU-vidrs man.
