Today, we are taking a closer look at the upcoming LEGO Super Mario set in celebration for the 25th anniversary of Super Mario 64! This was sent to me early by LEGO / LAN for a review and will be available beginning on October 1st! This set has some pretty cool secrets, unseen until today!

I didn't really like the Super Mario play sets, but this looks pretty good to me. I'm definitely getting this set.

The inaccuracy of the block for the game is a perfect compromise as the "!" block seen in the game is far less iconic and timeless, and likely wouldn't sell nearly as well. Also the fold out sections fit very well for the world based system of Super Mario 64 and wouldn't work as well with any other Mario game.

Yeah, idk why people are so angry about it. This is a fantastic tribute to Mario 64 and I think if it were a wing cap block it would lose a lot of that prestige.

What we thought we would get: Microscale Peaches Castle What we got: An amazing build of an incredibly iconic block with hidden flip out mini Super Mario 64 worlds packed with tons of in game details. And a microscale Peaches Castle.

Cool cool mountain being my favorite SM64 stage i was so let down that there weren’t any prints or even any white colored trees to be placed there. Truly a missed opportunity

@@blueknight4274 Every microfigure in the set could’ve used eye printing, why not just put another 1x1 plate for mario’s eyes and make him a bit taller? but also you just listed like 95% of the micro figures and they all need eyes. Peach and Yoshi don’t have *any* printing and they look so bad (you’re good btw)

I think it’s because some guys were to small to get eyes, so they just left them out completely so people wouldn’t be all like “If they have eyes, why doesn’t mario?”

It was like the storybook. Could’ve used more “stories”, Nintendo set (like you said) could’ve used more cartridges and that tv could’ve had more boards…. All missed opportunities and little sets they could’ve released. Quick $$ and fans want that stuff.

Actually, the block was still yellow, but in mario 64, it was an “!” Block. However, they did use red, blue, and green for the special caps.

Could have used some more printing like the amazing Minecraft micro world sets which this is a more fun build than those but the cute little Minecraft mobs with nice prints that you would get extras of. I hope they expand on this and make the characters better and make smaller sets like the Minecraft micro worlds.

The no eye thing just works really well with the scale and aesthetic. In terms of printing this was just about perfect, I just think Mario’s cap should have the M. As for when you said the ice world needed printing, I genuinely have no idea what you’d print. It looks perfect without them. Sets like this don’t need more printing, it works perfectly as is.

Wow the attention to detail is incredible so especially with cool cool mountain My only complaint is the the micro builds for the characters don't rereally represent the characters well with the exception being Bowser Also koopa yhe quick should have been included

Trust me we will get Mario mini figures soon, Lego Minecraft started out as a mini build concept then it became just like the other franchises. I am confident Super Mario will turn out the same way, just have faith!

Yo I just realized something the penguin build in the Mario set is exactly the same build as the penguin goons in Batman so Lego just reused the same build but instead made it blue that's the first time Lego use the same build for a completely different line of Lego sets the Lego Mario sets just weird thinking about how they use something from lego Batman in Lego Mario

The only highlight for me it's the fact that this is a large brick built cube (even tho this things didn't exist back then). The rest of the set is really disappointing, I absolutely hate it, there's so much wasted potential. But that doesn't mean the video was bad, keep it up!...
