The Crooks made a detailed plan for the heist and they will surprise by the Swat raid. They already knew the tactics of Swat and their plans were proactively made. If it works out , they will be able to escape from the police and Swat Team as well.
But the Swat team already prepared and Swat Team was already waiting for the best time to catch the thieves.
Thieves needed money no matter what. Because this money would be used for a good purpose and nothing was as it seems.
