Gentle reminder that LEGO put up an entire page on the shop website for a Zelda theme, not just this set. This is just the beginning and I can’t wait to see what LEGO cooks up with this license
Hate to be a downer, but LEGO also had an entire shop page dedicated to Stranger Things when ‘The Upside Down’ set released. They never made any more sets based on Stranger Things. I think with Nintendo there is a higher chance that more Zelda sets will come, especially with the established Super Mario theme… but just saying it’s not 100% confirmed to happen.
If this set sells a lot, that is possible. Though I know some people will be off-put by the high price.. but the fact this is a 2-in-1 set adds a bit of value to it. Me. I hope this succeeds to a point we get more sets down the line.
Love that they have different mouth mechanisms- the N64 one couldn’t move its mouth except open it for the entrance. But the Wii U/Switch era one gained the ability to speak (after an HD graphics surgery of course)
Even as someone who doesn’t really play Zelda games, this became one of my most wanted sets of the year the minute it was revealed. As of now, the only set that surpasses it in most wanted-ness is Barad-dur
Link and King of Red Lions maby with some buildable items like the crane and canon or a small raft with monsters. A pirate ship with Tetra and her crew would be grait.
Great review. It’s actually really cool that Link’s house and the Deku sprout can also be displayed alongside the BOTW Great Deku , can have the best of both worlds to some degree.
Being able to have Link's House with the BotW Deku tree is huge, really helps me decide if I want to try to grab this set sooner rather than later. Because I am not gonna be able to get this on release.
I thought of something silly. In oot Malon gives you a cow for beating the horse riding record. I thought puting a lego cow in Link's house would be funny.
This set looks amazing! The price might be high, but this us such a love letter to everything Zelda. I'm also happy that it's only the beginning. They said they're interested in more sets, so maybe we'll see smaller builds in the future!
I think the web in the oot version might be a reference to the giant spider web you jump through in the dungeon. If you move it down you could make young link fall through it.
Sadly I ruined the secrets by watching this. Can’t wait though. My wife and I both love OoT more so we’re building that and never taking it apart. We’ll just display it as time traveling shenanigans going on so we can have Zelda displayed as well.
@@prons_gaming5083that’s a perfect spot. Young Link will at his house coming out like “what’s going on?” Adult Link definitely needs the Ocarina in hand w/ Navi. Not sure the location yet, maybe right in front of the tree.
I got this set and I'm impatiently waiting for September 1st so it can ship out. I hope for future Zelda sets they do some smaller models, like maybe Link riding the King of Red Lions, Lon Lon Ranch, or some famous bosses like Gohma or Volvagia. But also, and I know it'll come eventually, we NEED a Hyrule Castle set!!!
In case you haven't played the OG Zelda, but the slingshot is the item you got from the Deku Tree Dungeon. So it's extra meaningful that they put it there. That said, great review through and through.
The temptation to buy two of these lol I'll probably settle for building the BOTW one first and then the Ocarina one and keeping it that way. Maybe down the line I'll get a second one, I'm a huge Zelda fan
I love how Link’s house is a complete module if you switch to the BotW version. It can still host the OoT minifigs on a separate shelf without compromising the alt build
Even if a Smash Bros line of sets or CmF would be too much licensing, I think a Nintendo specific CmF would be cool. I feel like Lego would probably never make a Metroid set except as some exclusive adult oriented thing kinda like this. So getting a Samus minifigure might be difficult unless there was a CMF.
Now that we have official lego figures I'm looking forward to what mocs people will create. We got Link's house and master sward pedestrial in this set. The pedestrial could easily be modified for diferant games. I'd love to see a brick build king dodongo gohma and uther monsters like the darknuts. Some builds for the temples would be good especially the forest temple with the pieces available in this set. Havn't played botw but I know people think the guardians would be cool. I want to build a spinner for Link based off the hyrule warriors games and I'm sure people will build taruku from aoc.
I recommend you equip BOTW Link with the Master Sword and Hylian Shield and OOT Link with the Ocarina because the shield has different details compared to the recent Hylain Shields. Just trying to be accurate and it’sa recommendation.
For the bow and arrow pedestal I doubt those three dots are the Spiritual Stones, (little reminder) The Kokiri Emerald is green not yellow. What I think those are supposed to be, are the Fire, Ice and Light arrows instead.
Imagine a TotK set with link on the light dragon, and he could have a master sword hilt that can have interchangeable blades like the broken master sword blade, the normal blade, and maybe some others
This amazing! Everything is possible now. It would be very nice to have a micro scale build of the BOTW Hyrule Map or the Dungeons from OOT. They also could make a Hyrule Castle for around 700 $ 😅
I was thinking $300 was high price but seeing the smaller builds -Link's house and pedestrial- and all the little pieces for detail and items and basicley thier are more then just four figures -the uthers are just not minifigures- makes it more worth it. And for me this is a great veriety of pieces. I feel I would probley build the smaller side builds and use the remaining deku tree pieces for uther stuff and if or until lego does more sets I'll try making my owne monsters for Link to deel with.
Realy that would be awsome. If lego does more sets oot Zelda in the courtyard' Malon with Epona and maby a small build for a cow or something and a gerudo desert with Nabooru. I wouldn't count out Ruto but she would requirw some new molds for her head and fins for a minifigure.
Why not combine them with Mario, Yoshi, Diddy, and Cranky from LEGO Super Mario to create a diorama of Cranky's Video Game Heroes from “Donkey Kong Country 2”?
Im trying to build a display case for the Botw tree, any idea what the measurements for the Botw tree w/ the sword pedestal may be? Of course I’ll make it bigger so I can fit in the other added builds and figures, but I’d like to know some base numbers to build off of if possible. Thank you! Either way, love your videos man!
Nice lookin set, but thats it. Price is crazy. Playability very small.. I would love a series of small sets that can combine into the big one like this. It be great to play with kids
That’s not the three spiritual stones; it’s the Fire 🔥, Ice 🧊 and Light 💡 arrows! I’ve notice that every RU-vidr I’ve watched so far says this, haha! It not a big deal, but just wanted to point that out!
