The letter I think is from the same episode when he game Pam the teapot…. He wrote a letter to her, saying, “Christmas is the time to tell people how you feel,” but he didn’t give it to her, and kept it instead
Why they make the hole next to michaels office door, but then not include the minifig for the guy that actually punched the hole? :p Also the garbage bin is supposed to be a cooking pot with chilli that he drops on the floor ^^😁
Not a big fan of sitcoms in general but having seen the Office from start to finish this is definitely one I'll be picking up. Minifig selection is outstanding and the references plentiful. Thanks for the detailed/concise review.
As someone with absolutely 0 interest in The Office as a show, I still think I'm gonna pick this set up. I've been working on a Lego Marvel New York and getting 15 really well-made and diverse civilian minifigures is going to liven up the displays and populate some of the empty spaces. It's not a day one pick-up, but I could easily see me getting this for a GWP or promo in the future just for the minifigures and useful stickered/printed pieces. Maybe 2 if this set goes the way of the Queer Eye set for more civilian minifigures.
Jim's letter: It was a letter for Pam, that he placed inside the teapot but then he gave up and took it off. Kevin's trash can: It's his "Kevin's Famous Chilli"
The letter in Jim`s hand is revealed very late in the series. Wont spoil anything for you since your watching the show now. But that is a very good easteregg.
The letter that Jim is holding is probably the most secretive thing about the series ,we'll never know what's written in it , when pam finally gets the teapot ,you can see him take it and put it in his back pocket , I'm in the middle on doing this set ,might have been 30 years since i last touched a lego ,I'm having fun , great review BTW ,like you said ,the little references are amazing , really hopping they make the rest of the office and add the missing characters
Great review, really want this. Hey not to derail but how much notice is Retiring Soon indicating? Want to pick up the large Disney Castle and maybe even the large Mickey and Minnie figures.
Just a question : why Lego send me a message to tell that my Stargate Lego Ideas contains too much minifigures (12) and this set Ideas contains more minifigs and it's ok... :(
I hope they make an expansion thing for it so we can get accounting and that and they can give us a couple extra things like Erin and Andy and they could give and extra desk for pam since u know makes no sense for Erin and pam both work the reception
Not a fan of The Office so not into this set. That said I’d probably buy it, sell off all the minifigures and use the remains as a base for a Christopher Reeve Clark Kent Daily Planet MOC. Has some good potential for that I think. And it will probably be cheaper MOCing this into a Daily Planet vignette that say converting the Daily Bugle set into a Daily Planet build (which I have considered but the price puts me off).
You'd lose that bet. The 501st Battle Pack is the best selling set ever. The reason that set sold so well is because people wanted to build clone armies, so people would buy multiple sets (sometimes 10+) in one go. You aren't going to be seeing that sort of thing with this set. Most people are going to be purchasing a single copy of this set.
I LOVE these sitcom sets ❤️. It's not for everybody and that's okay. Not everybody has to like it. But they are amazing and the sheer amount of references and mini figs alone in this set is worth it. Hope lego keeps them coming.
@@kiwigaming09 what branding? Lego? Branding does not need to be paint drunk expensive. Lego made good profits, there is no need to further rip of kids like they do now, especially with the last price increases.
Tiago 😊🖐️. I not collect any of them sets .I would like Seinfeld one add for the cramer mini fig add he's so funny. I Sean few get all them set s and put into one building each set on each floor ..
@@Whokn6627 Then Karen should be there lol. I'm guessing they just wanted to add that reference without adding another mini figure. It's a shame though. I'd have loved an Andy minifigure.
@@ok9908 well Andy played throughout the entirety of the show from season 3 onwards and karen just for 2 seasons having just 2 one of appearances in later seasons.
Same here, I didn’t understand why everyone was so hyped about it. Now I’m at season 4 and it’s one of my favourite shows. Dwight minifigure is fantastic
Honestly Iove this set a lot because of how great The Office is. It's just sad to see some important characters missing. It seems they've made the set around season 1 but it would've been nice to at least see Andy and Erin as they were around for more than half of the show. Other than that the set is great, would love an add on for the other side of the office as well. Hopefully they could include the extra characters that way as well.
Some compromises have to be made if it's not just going to be a glorified minifig pack, and 15 minifigs, all unique to the set, is pretty amazing for a $120 set.
Okay, this is great, and I can easily see them adding the other half of the office and even the warehouse eventually! Especially with the required inclusion of Andy, Erin, Robert California, Baby Peepee and Philip, The Senator- there is no end to the minifigs they could add.
Lovely set, I am about to begin the build. One thing bugs me in the instructions intro tho, as I cannot remember if it's a reference to something, or if I just don't understand it - at the page begining with "The beauty in ordinary things", the first paragraph ends with "But, as far as we know, no steaks have ever been fried on any of our coffee makers". I am a huge The Office fan, but for the love of god I cannot recall what this is referencing. Any ideas? Thanks!
Thank you for your review. I (despite being a Gen X American) have never watched The Office either, so it was nice seeing an unbiased review. That being said, my older children (age 30-22) love the show, so I’ll buy it to build it. I do love the pieces and the figures so I’m excited for it. As always, I thank you for your unique perspective
