Love the sausage anchor, such a cool design idea

I can't even imagine how time this took to be designed. I wouldn't be surprised if they spent an entire day to make some parts of the decks.

I bought the same Lego Titanic since late January 2023. I started building the ship. It took nearly a week to get it done and also add LED Light HI Brick with remote control.

the tomb stone inclusion was so sweet :')

A whole lot has happened to LEGO in the 50 years since I first played with it -- not even a "set", just a bunch of bricks, in a few colors (and I remember when the first blue bricks came out -- WOW!). This does indeed look like an amazing thing, and an amazing build process; thank you, TC, for showing it to us so well.

when i do get this set, i am not gonna hide the "TC" tile, but put it on the deck as a homage to the man who just may have brought the biggest dream of mine to a reality, a Lego titanic build. ive waited 35ish years for this day, thank you tiago

Wow that’s actually insane

Just wanted to get this info out there, that central shaft was never powered by a piston engine. My guess is that the "gearbox" you thought was a electric generator was actually the turbine that powered the central shaft. Amazing accuracy!

Wasn’t an electrical motor, but a steam bleed from the two main side engines.

This is my dream set!

My wife went out of town for the weekend and surprise surprise the Titanic was back in stock at my Lego store over during that weekend. Needless to say I picked it up and put it on display before she got home. The wife got me a new bookshelf big enough to display it so it’s no longer sitting on top of my kitchen cabinet.

BEAUTIFUL box(es)!!! Very classy.

Our local stores finally got some in stock today, so I managed to snag one. Just finished the first 3 bags - found it kind of neat when you get to the stage where you build the bow port windows, the starboard side is connected with green connecting plates and the port side, with red connecting plates which would be respective to the correct colour depicting port/starboard. Even though these pieces will be completely hidden with the hull pieces, I found it kind of neat that they used the appropriate colours for this step - I'm assuming it was done intentionally for designing purposes.

Your passion for the model is obvious since you were the one who suggested it. It’s definitely the greatest set I’ve seen and your is the best review. Psiaki is indeed a genius, but you gave him the inspiration! Thanks man!

not super critical but that "electrical"engine is actually a steam turbine and the motors were connected like that the steam first went to the cylinder engines with each cylinder getting a progressively lower pressure (the last 2 the same pressure) after which it was fed into the steam turbine. And they do power those separate propellers so indeed cool of Lego to be so accurate indeed.

This is what I've always wanted with lego, massive builds that are well over thousands of pieces. Course I can barley fit the ninjago city gardens in my room so there's no chance of me getting this to go anywhere lol but it'd be nice to see bigger stuff in the future.

Because of the TC tile being a tombstone I always thought you were a super old Lego designer who actually died

These lego expert sets are always so impressive, the insane techniques used to achieve details that would be impossible in traditional lego is just beyond me.

Its quite fun disassembling and then re building it in a more lifelike manner.. building up from the keel etc... takes a hell of a lot longer that way but good fun.

If you think about it…Titanic also starts with a T and ends with C. That TC tile means you’re really inseparable from this amazing lego set!

I don't even build lego but I watched this whole review. Great video and looks like an amazing kit!

Fourth funnel was built for aesthetics indeed. However it was used for ventilation of the engine room and kitchen. The center propeller was driven by a steam turbine, with low pressure steam coming off the exaust of both triple expansion engines. It was slightly more powerful than either of the piston engines, outputting 16000 HP of the titanic's combined 46000 HP. A triple turbine system was considered. However contemporary designs, though the fastest ships sailing the ocean, had problems with vibration coming off the turbines, which made the aft of the ship uncomfortable to sail in. The center propeller could be switched off by directing the steam coming from the piston engines straight into the condensers. It was used for deep sea propulsion because it couldn't be reversed. Electric power and water pumps were driven be separate steam engines. The four electric generetors were located somewhere behind the steam turbine compartment. And as a morbid fun fact, not a single man from engineering survived the tragedy. They probably knew the ship was doomed at some point. But they chose to keep working below decks, feeding boilers to provide power for the ship, venting excess steam to prevent an explosion, and mantaining the generators in order to provide light for the people escaping the ship. Power was only totally lost in the final minutes before she slipped beneath the waves.

More attention to detail. It’s no accident the rear section disconnects where it does on the model. That is where the real ship broke in half as well.

SS (Steam Ship) /RMS (Royal Mail Ship) Titanic was called the ship of dreams, not because of her size. Instead, she was called the “Ship of dreams” because the passengers aboard were hoping to start new lives in America. Sadly, she struck an iceberg and was doomed to sink. The sinking took the lives of almost 1,500. It was a fatal tdrategy that separated many families. A moment of silence for all who lost there lives at sea.

I met a guy on a bus who had just purchased this model. He said he asked if the retailer had a bag to carry that would fit (thinking no way but try). They did! After our conversation, I was filled with many, many questions! So many!! Does it come with an iceberg? Before or after the collision!? Is there a Jack? Kate? Celine Dion?? Where is the Heart of the Ocean?
