WOW!!! that looks insane! I didn’t think the Titanic could get any better, but it did! 👏🏻👏🏻 Well done mate, fantastic job with the lights. Great video as always.
I’m still building my ship (just the stern section remaining now), have ordered this light kit for it. That looks quite a task with all that disassembly 😮. But this vid will certainly be of great help, thank you.
Hi just finished the first part of the titanic the last cable you have to disconnect 50 cm connection cable is that the power for the mid section if so where did you put it the instructions are not clear on this many thanks mick👍👍
Thanks for the great video! You convinced me to go with the LMB kit over GOB. I may end up buying extra lights for the skylights, bridge and main hull if I can figure it out once I assemble the thing.
I’m super happy I could help! Adding the extra lights is a great idea. I might do it as well. You really can’t go wrong with LMB. I don’t work for them I just know quality and lighting design when I see it.
Great video. I may have a strange question but did you have parts that you have left after building in the light kit? I have 3 4×2 red blocks left and a black 14×1 block. Is that right?
@@LitBricks Ok really thank you for your answer. And were there also a brown flat plate 8x2 and 4 brown 1x1 hook blocks left? Because I have te idea I may have forgotten to put them back haha. What parts more do you have left exactly ?
Hi, I’m currently considering buying a light kit for my Lego titanic. And honestly I’m really unsure what to do. There are loads online and I’ve seen a few vids of people installing them, but it’s not that detailed. Also I’m worried I’d mess it up pretty badly installing it. So I want to ask, does the kit come with proper instructions? And should I get this light set?
@@mario-8654 Great question! The instructions are online only for light my bricks kits. Briksmax has physical paper instructions. I would wait for light my bricks to make their 2.0 version. Those lights are pretty much unbreakable. They use a completely different kind of wire. I’m not sure though when they will have it. The regular 1.0 version that I have is great as well but it uses the old wires and can be tedious.
Hey - thanks for the video. My son is about half way through building the titanic. Are there specific instructions why light my bricks and how to disassemble to add the lights?
Super video - were you powering the Titanic's lights by battery or electricity (as Light My Bricks suggests in the instructions)? I was thinking of opting for LMB's lights but also looking at the GOB's option in order to light the lower levels. LMB's seems a better kit, but it would be great to light the lower levels to add authentic detail (some of GOB's other details are not authentic). It's my first build with lights, so am completely new to this - any tips appreciated.
Thank you! I have it powered by electricity. It is a great kit but you’re right about the lower levels. I do kinda wish they had them lit. It’s great quality though. I’d say my best tip is to make sure you don’t pinch the wires if you don’t have too. You’ll come to understand when get started. Making sure wires are in between the studs is key as well. Patients will always help. 😃
IV just completed the bow section, looks amazing. When you put the spot lights on for the funnel they make you sacrifice a lifeboat Davit which isn’t necessary. Move the light from a different spot closer to the funnel and angle up. Exact same effect and no need to sacrifice pieces off the model
*@Lit Bricks* OMG how crazy is that the one? What a great idea. How many lights did you use in the Lego Titanic? That cost just as much as the boat itself? Fantastic!
wouldn't it be amazing if they would design all the interiors of the Titanic with lego? Even if you don't see them it would be awesome to knwo that it's all filled with details :)
Weird question maybe: is it easier to implement the light immediately with the first build or do it afterwards? I will receive my first light kits soon, and am wondering what's the best way to start it. Great vid, as always! 😁
The directions are always made for after the build. I’d say it’s easier that way anyway. After it’s built you can see better how and where to hide wires and put lights.
i'm currently building the Titanic, the video contain major spoilers of the brick building experience so i'm gonna bookmark it till i finished mine xD, great video man!
Hey how long do you think it took you for this set to do the lights? Obviously you had to film and stuff but otherwise? Cheers and loved seeing the process thank you for the vid.
@@LitBricks Did you ever add the lights for the black portholes? I was wondering if the Light my Bricks kit had any blank ports on the expansion boards to somehow add in a micro expansion board and use the micro bit lights to add some porthole lights. I love the fact that you can take this one apart while it's lit, and you can't with the other company, I just can't bring myself to buy both kits just to cobble together black portholes on the light my brick kit.
@@jacquiedichter7194 I was going to do that and I still might. I just haven’t had the time. I don’t blame you for not wanting to buy another kit. Maybe I’ll make a video when I actually light up the portholes.
Oh man! Can’t wait for my turn to get this ship. The lighting kit is AWESOME! So, since it comes apart in 3 sections, I would assume each can be lit individually? How many batteries for each part, and last, dare I ask how much for the lighting kit??
That is correct! Each section is lit individually. These are run using a USB cable to a wall plug. I’m pretty sure there’s a battery box in the kit that uses like 3 AA’s. The kit itself was $219.
I looked at all options and ended up w/ the game of bricks version with remote and sound. It has a remote, sound, and lights up the lower black section port holes. The only other thing I added was brickstuff wireless connectors so I can still remove the three sections from each other.
