I kind of like the thought that Excalumber and Camelog might not be the quickest on the up tick, so when they scanned a logging truck, the didn't realize at first that the logs were separate and just ended up incorporating them into the alt mode.
Considering the wooden sword, I’m going just head canon that Excalumber just magically grows in power depending on how much he believes in his fantasy, like he’s a transformer just roleplaying a knight and the more he believes it the more inexplicably powerful he gets. (Based on Arthur from Fire Force)
I love the dynamic between these two, like you said there is so much story potential baked into these designs, like, Camelog's alt mode makes him dependant on Excalumber and therefore he would try to prove himself more often.
These two feel/come off as having the Inspector Gadget dynamic. The Knight is a bumbling idiot who's full of himself and is easily tunnel visioned. But he is trying to do the right thing. The Squire is the smart one actually solving the problems and when their brains can't solve the issue. They know the Knight can use their muscle to solve the issue.
@@themidknightmando3219 Not really. A sires gets to do all the cool knightly stuff while a squire just gets to carry his sire's stuff. Not very fatherly if you ask me.
Kids on the weekend: "Yay no school!" Me on the weekend: "A new video from Student Scissors!" Joke aside it has been build after build lately and they are all well detailed and amazing to watch. Keep up the good work.
love them so much, got to enjoy a chonky murder bot of honor and can see them buying a helmet to wear over a generic-looking droid/mono-eye head, anyone else chuckle like a madman at the pun names
I like to think that Excalumber is like Don Quixote and Camelog is both his squire and personal wrangler. They go on adventures, but accidentally cause destruction and chaos wherever they go. They're neither autobots nor decepticons. Maybe they're one of the ancient knights from The Last Knight if TLK wasn't hot garbage.
That would actually be insanely cool! Someone else commented that he should have a steed, and this one image of Don Quixote riding on an incredibly disproportionate Rocinante immediately popped into my head. I think it would work well with Excalumber too considering his tiny legs!
That's the best night transformer ever (probably cause never seen eny other lol) the vehicle mode is awsome especially the trailer turning into a robot as well 😎 👇
the fact that lego is complaining why it takes too much time to make transformer sets and why theyre so expensive and big, id be ready to call them stupid now Your freaking transformers are perfect, perfect perfect lego says micro scale builds are very expensive and hard to make but you are just slamming them to the ground
Would be cool if there was a way to make a version were the 2 combine into a super robot mode, maybe have the trailer split into pieces like 2001 RID Optimus Prime/ Car Robots Fire Convoy and combine in different ways for different power ups, and then a way for everything to combine into an actual super mode
I've shared your videos before because the intersection of Transformers and Lego is exactly where my personality falls. I shared it today specifically because you changed your channel icon for pride. just that made a few of my friends happy to see.
I honestly think a logging truck would be a great alt mode for Rodimus Prime. Imagine in a moment of desperation, our Autobot protagonists go to Alaska because one of them knows someone there who can help them. Looking around different truck stops and diners, they spot an old logging truck with a faded red and orange flame design and the words "HOT ROD" still barely legible. They try to coax the truck into revealing itself but it speeds away. Eventually they're able to corner it and force Rodimus to reveal himself. He's still very mad about some past event and says that he is no longer a Prime and no longer an Autobot. He wishes them luck, but refuses to join them until of course changing his mind later. In the third act, we see him absolutely decimating the bad guys with logs because they underestimated how much damage organic matter can do to living metal. We would also see him pull out his Cybertronian weapons which he had hidden in the trailer he insisted was only for logging.
Nice puns! 😂👍 Both of these guys look super fun in either mode and I love that the lumber actually forms accessories. That's amazingly clever and very inventive.
I really love these two guys! Both look amazibg together, thiugh I'm not the biggest fan of Camalog's articulation. Also, when I'm writibg this, I see you swutched your profile pic to PRIDE MONTH MODE
I love some of the speculative characterizations here in the comment section, but ever since I saw Camalog, I couldn't help but envision King Arthur from 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' and his trusty squire who holds his bags, bangs coconuts together, and when struck by an arrow exclaims, "message for you, suh!"
Ingenious! If Hasbro made Excalumber, I think exhaust pipes should replace the light bars as his feet- in robot mode, the exhaust pipes become rocket boots, allowing him to fly.
Must be a hell of a party when Excalumber/Camelog, Magnus, and Prime get together. I can imagine them all hitting the open road in alt modes pulling their respective trailers and blasting CW McCall's Convoy
I imagine these two talking in a cheesy old British accent, like the characters in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I wonder if Excalumber is well versed in the methods of swallow, both African and European, or if Camelog has some coconuts for emulating horse hooves.
This guy looks so cool! I love the truckmode! & botmode, too! & I _knew it_ ! I _knew_ his name was a play on Excalibur! Excalumber is such a good name and pun! :D
There’s nothing wrong with the helmet you chose, but may I subject using lance’s hemet from next knights. His helmet would then have some of the white accents surrounding it and lance’s mouth guard looks more like a transformer part. Again Nothing wrong with your design, just a suggestion. Keep up the good work!
Hey student scissors. I usually don't comment on your videos a lot but today is different because it's my birthday today. I am officially 19 years old. I was hoping maybe I can get some sort of comment from you in hopes of knowing that I was recognized by you. Love the new video by the way. Your new Transformers always seem to amaze me
You know, i think if you gave it a different helmet piece, some different colors, and scrapped the legs, this could make for an amazing decepticon duocon. Maybe pulling a trailer that carries his other half? Maybe a boat or something of the like?
You should also make a bucket wheel excavator autobot. Name, Colaterque, a autobot that has a big wheel bucket just like scavenger but with his arms. And with tracks that can turn into a belt just like skipjack but in his back, and his fast wheel torque. And can cause collateral damage to hard heavy metal.
I can already imagine these two bumbling about in a Don Quixote style adventure while some major battle between the autobots and decepticons happens in the background, eventually culminating in the two of them accidentally saving the day somehow
Love this idea, having worked in forestry for some years it’s so cool to see the idea of Transformers from that industry. I think if there was a way that you could incorporate a log grab into the build, possibly to be used as a weapon or whole arm, would be wicked cool!
these guys give off a very Transformers Animated vibe with how stylized they are and thats probably the best way I can describe this build, great stuff man, but if youll indulge me for just a second, did u consider making the trailer for this guy turn into a horse, or a mount of some sort? you could try to expand on this idea by making a second trailer to go along with this guy
I've only found you recently but the talent and skill you have with creating these things in next level to me. Easy subscribe and I can't wait to spend the day sifting through your old videos to watch.
I think your designs get at the heart of transformers better than anything released by hasbro in recent years. Just simple, unique characters with fun transformations and a lot of personality inherent to their design. I see these designs and I immediately think up character dynamics and stories they could fit into, just like the original marvel comics writers had to do when they had a box full of Japanese robot toys dropped on their desk and were told "write a story with these". keep up the good work!
They would fit pretty well in transformers animated. It would be cool to see another two part vehicle whose alt modes were a knight and his steed, and were able to combine themselves in typical japanese fashion.
this is great! i love how u always try unique vehicles and robot modes with interesting proportions rather than a stock standard vehicle turning into the classic robot.
I think it would be cool if you could do this with an over sized load truck to be their rivals. Like have the cab transform, the trailer transform, and then the over sized vehicle on the trailer is either another bot or weapons for the two.
