1:10:07 Thank you, LEGO, for releasing the soundtrack after all these years and supporting the LEGO Universe community. We can't wait to get more Explorers back into the game we all grew up with and love. :)
cant wait for it, so nice that lego starts supporting this idea of bringing it back! I hope they will work with you and let you have a share! You deserve this! Keep it going, I wish you all the very best
DFU should rehire some of the concept artists to help design new DFU content once LU is back up to speed and fully rebuilt! Just looking at the stuff in this video blew me away! I never knew just how much content that whole team put together, and how quality it actually was 😳😍
man i miss this game so much. first online game i fell in love with. i’d still return in a heartbeat although i’m a lot older than the target audience. i’ve literally had dreams about LU reopening multiple times over the years lol
The Lego group never mentioned LU after it shut down and avoided talking about it. Now all of a sudden we get bombed with LU related content, even showing off super duper early game build footage. I have no idea what's going on but I LOVE IT!!!
Dude i knowwww 😭 this stuff shows just how supportive LEGO has become towards LU returning in some fashion in the past couple years. I think all this online talk over the years has tugged at the heartstrings over at LEGO HQ. Not to mention the endorsement of DFU and the fact that the game is officially 10 years old!!! (I feel so old now 😭)
@@ParadoxLULP For streams, at the moment I've been having issues, and uni's pretty busy, so I haven't had the time to fix them. As for videos, one _is_ currently in the editing process at the moment, you'll be pleased to hear! :P But, in general, thanks! That means a lot!
@@ParadoxLULP Mostly, uni keeping me busy precludes most other things. With regards streaming, if you check out NinjaWLOG and my recent streams on there, you'll see I've been having huge problems with low qualities, which I need to fix before I start streaming again.
-DG-MasterTemple haven’t they been saying that for 5 years? I’ve pretty much lost hope that this game will ever come back. It’ll probably take them 5 more years after beta
Thank you so much for this guys, it means a lot that you still give some love to the fans of this amazing game! We didn't need all of this great footage to accompany it, yet you guys decided to go a step further and give us all this amazing stuff to watch, some of which I'm pretty sure hasn't been shown before.
Man there's just something about Brick Annex at 12:47 ... I'm so glad I was a part of this masterpiece of a game. Listening to these scores throws me back to simpler times when I was half my height :)
Still my favourite video game OST. So much musical detail was applied to every area and it truly made the world feel alive. Overall I'm certain that the game would not be remembered nearly as fondly without Brian's excellent work. Thanks for giving it a proper release!
@@ethanvincent7821 I wasn't expecting to see my name and so many friends' names in the credits there, haha, really blew me away. Thanks so much for doing all of this
Same, I was free to play for the longest time. But when we found out it was closing down and the final month would give premium players a last month for free, I bought premium a month or 2 before closing and played it to death. Yet there was still so much I've yet to explore...
@@TheALBOK I only got to play the first few months of the game because I got it for my birthday which coincidentally was the games release date. Also managed to play a bit for the last month as well but yee there was so much more I would have liked to try out in the game.
Back in the day, that subscription seemed like so much money to younger me. Now I'm like, "Darkflame, please, just take my money! I want to give it to you in exchange for LU nostalgia."
LEGO Universe was my first MMORPG I ever played. And I didn't even know what I was doing. Only played it cause LEGO. I had so much fun with it and I couldn't stop playing it. Thank you, LEGO for the amazing memories I had on LEGO Universe. Long Live Imagination!!!
I never ever got past the pirate place in this game but I had so much fun just running around and building stuff, I was so young I didn't understand what I was doing but I was sure having a lot of fun. Wish I could play again
This is a surprise but a welcome one! I remember playing this game back then, I fell so in love with it, I would play this everyday after I came back from school. Once my dad allowed me to get the membership - I was so flippin excited! When the game announced their closing, I was so sad to hear it had to go. Thank you for this amazing game LEGO, and I can’t wait for Darkflame to bring it back to life 🙌
Man, the late 2000's was really the height of the Lego craze. With all those epic castle sets coming out, multiple games including this legendary one, it seemed like Lego was taking over the world. What a time to be alive back then.
MAN, this soundtrack do be hittin HARD tho. The nostalgia is immense! Miss LEGO Universe so much. Wish I had been able to play it more, but I very much enjoyed the time I did spend playing it.
I'd love to see such an immense game come back to life, remastered or not. I'll be grateful for whatever comes out of the ashes of the beloved Lego Universe.
I unfortunately heard about the game after it closed, so I never got the chance to play it, but, despite that fact, this soundtrack is still giving me nostalgic feelings.
probably the best MMO game i’ve played to this day seeing as it was so interactive and out there. i never got bored of it. i use to play it up until i was 11/12 seeing as it shut down
Thank you for making this publicly available. It is my delight to hear this nostalgic music in a remastered format. I hope that you will continue to dig music out of the archives for us.
24:16, I wonder what james Thinks about this cameo, He was the one who Made a Download to the Weekend Whip, he was the one to document the final days of Lego Universe, and was known for his Lego Island Videos
5 years of development, $125m investment, 2.3m registered accounts, 100,000 paying subscribers, incredibly well received... All that and it was shut down just over a year in. C'mon Lego =(
@@nightraven5760 The actual Lego group has partnered? I knew of DarkFlame but I thought Lego would just shut them down if they ever got close to a release... Are you certain of this? I would be VERY interested!
@@thorakvideos2495 Not sure if they are actually partnered, but I read a while back that The LEGO Group gave them official permissions, meaning Darkflame can legally publish their work but TLG doesn't provide any support nor take any responsability.
Man..what this game could've been if LEGO/executive investors @ LEGO had just been a little patient. This game would have thrived in todays MMO market with OSRS and Wizard 101 still around and kicking..and I'm willing to bet it would've made them lots of money given the fact that it is STILL a one of a kind LEGO game. The only LEGO MMORPG...
Even over ten years later, LEGO Universe has one of the greatest videogame soundtracks of all time. I remember back during beta testing when the final soundtrack was first integrated into the game, and to hear such incredible orchestrated music just blew me away. To hear it again, finally released and remastered, is an absolute joy. Thank you so much! Though, I must ask: were a few of these tracks abridged? I remember "The Maelstrom (A Powerful Darkness on the Horizon)" having a longer buildup leading into 0:22:21, and "Tortoise Terrace" seems to be missing some of its intro at 0:27:57.
