Preview day prior to the public open day of Legoland Windsor 1996. Original rides including Fairytale Brook, Pirate Falls, Duplo Gardens, driving school and boat school
This was my favourite place as a child. We went almost every year and I usually cried on the way home. The driving school was my favourite attraction. Thank you for bringing back some nice memories.
That's brilliant, so happy you have got so many amazing memories from here. Did you know there is a 4 part behind the scenes documentary coming to channel 5 from sunday 9th August, it will also feature some footage from this video and loads of other stuff, hopefully that will bring back a load more special memories for you too. Thanks so much for watching and your lovely comments
@@Coast2Coaster I didn't know that, that's great! Thanks for the info, I'll make sure I watch it. It's great that your footage will be part of it. It's a very special place for me and many others and it's so nice to see it in its early years.
Can't beat a bit of nostalgia, personally I think these were the best & most magical days here, So glad it has brought back some great memories for you too 👍
I love this video so much, I’m a big fan of Legoland Windsor and i come back to watch this video so often as it’s just incredible to see how it used to look and all the old memories! Thank you so much for uploading this!
Made to think all them kids are now bringing there kids it's a special place I took my boy today first time for him and me as I never got to go when I was 6 when I was ment too and wow blew me away ..
There is so much nostalgia surrounding both Lego products & Legoland, The Park brings it beautifully together with immersement of the Brand & Products & I think that is why it is the perfect park for bringing generations of families back together generation after generation & will continue to do so giving their visitors that same warm, happy & nostalgic feeling you are have experienced right now 😊
Ahhh memories, I worked in "My Town" in that first season, I mainly operated the Chairoplane and run the clown school in the circus big top softplay side.
most of this was me going "huh, that was something i don't remember" (having been born in 1998) but the banjo clown and the pirate falls band slapped me very gently with nostalgia, and then the rat trap pummelled me with missing legoland
It's a strange one for me because I really clearly remember going to the safari park here before Legoland was built and then during the opening year of Legoland a friends family invited me to go along but when we got there it was closed (no one thought to check!) so we went to Thorpe Park instead. I Finally went yesterday with my own children and to me in my head it's still new but I'm too tall for some of the rides I was looking forward to 😔
Watching this brings back such good memories. First went to legoland soon after it first opened when I was 2 years old. I went back a week ago with my partner and her niece and couldn't believe how much its changed and not for the better. The old original rides have been left to deteriorate with half of the animatronic's not even working and don't get me started on the crap music they now have on fairytale brook
0:03 It might be just me but the 1st Clown in this video looks kind of scary. I prefer the one we have currently. Amazing how things change over the years.
@@Coast2Coaster Thank you for uploading this also because I am always curious of what parks like Legoland looked like before my gen came along in the early 2000s .
That's our pleasure, It is interesting to see how these parks change, grow and develop over the years and the technology that comes along to enhance visitors enjoyment. Thankyou for watching & hopefully enjoying our video 👍
Amazing video! I am currently making a video called "The Making Of the Jungle Coaster" and I was wondering if I could use some of your shots from your video? I would not included your family in the video and would link your video in the description. Please let me know if you would let us use these great clips! - Luke
Thank you for your kind comments. You are more than welcome to use any of the shots you require for your video. I look forward to seeing the final result in due course.
I am sorry, I don not know, it was one we found on RU-vid creator studio when we uploaded this a while back. Sorry I could not be of more help, I will let you know if I can find it again. Thanks so much for watching
