I'm not into fantasy world things such of elves, dwarves, and wizards. But man LOTR is life changing lol. I fell in love when I saw them on the big screen back in early 2000. Yes the movie starts out slow but it all pays off. The trilogy is in my top favorite movies of all time. Thanks for the review

Looks like a great figure, the mix of sculpted and rooted hair gave me pause in photos. I've regretted not getting the first version of Legolas even tho my collection is mostly Marvel figures, I always loved LOTR (books and movies). The cloak and leaf broach are gifts from Galadriel, the elf queen of Lothlorien. (Each member of the Fellowship received one when they stopped there after escaping Moiria. Each member of the Fellowship received a special gift from Galadriel in the book, Legolas received the arrows from her, Frodo a vial of Light, Sam an elven rope, Pippen and Merry silver belts, a gold belt for Boromir, a magic scabbard and an elven stone for Aragorn and 3 strands of hair for Gimli.) thanks Justin!

Happy to see this. I already pre-ordered but was a bit disappointed after seeing the final pics Asmus posted. I still think they screwed up a bit on the paint application on the hair (looks more yellow than the prototype pics, where the color matched better with the rooted hair). Now with this video it looks much better than the pics I saw. Looking forward to getting this one.

Great figure. I was impressed by the head sculpt and the intricate outfit. Although I like what they have done with the hair by using mix media, I think the paint can be improve to match the two different material. Looking forward for Asmus Gollum/Smeagol.

Fantasy movies aside, LOTR is a masterpiece of a movie with a great story, epic musical score, Oscar worthy acting, drama, humor, action, and conflict. The trilogy is cinematic heaven and should not be missed even if you have a dislike for medieval fantasy. To me there’s no difference in watching this and any Marvel or Star Wars movie. Those are all fantasy films with different settings but imho inferior in quality. You should at the very least watch the first LOTR movie and if it still doesn’t agree with your palette then there’s no accounting for your taste :) In any case, great review of Asmus Legolas figure.

I’m a HUGE Lord of the Rings fan/collector, I have the Asmus line (I have the first release Legolas but I rooted him and did away with the plastic hair)….this new one is a great figure but I don’t like mixed media hair, and it’s too yellow. But overall he looks like a fantastic figure. His leaf brooch is one given to all 9 members of the Fellowship by Galadriel while in Lothlorien in the first movie. Great review!

I love the movies and got a huge LOTR collection, all the Asmus figures (except this Legolas and the upcoming Arwen), and tons of other stuff. I'm looking so foward to get this figure!

The Leaves of Lorien were brooches given by Galadriel to the members of the Fellowship of the Ring at the end of their stay at Lothlórien. They looked like the new-opened leaves of a beech-tree.

It is the Leaf of Lothlorien if I remember correctly, I believe they all got one before the fellowship headed out on their journey from Rivendell.

Legolas looks great! Asmus really gave collectors a scare with the initial final pics but wow what an improvement over V1 figure. Yes, I would have preferred the lighter less yellow hair from the prototype but bravo Asmus.

Justin this is a outstanding figure! Legolas his appearance is a little vague In the books? they took some liberties with what he Look's like. Head sculpt is passable! You had him in some nice poses! As you said the body is well-proportioned and they hair looks good! As always great review!

Yeah the sword and scocery genre has never done much for me either. I've collected a few LOTR and GOT figures, but mostly just because of the cool character designs or memorable performances.

But I think you must watch the films to proper review the figures, you dont have to love them or like them, but in cases of wildly popular media like LOTR you should at least have a basic knowledge of it, for us and for the quality of your video, its just a movie, keep rocking my friend!

Been limiting what licenses I'm picking up, LOTR is one of them. Scale is off. The Elves are a tall race. Legolas should be taller, the Actor I'm not sure.

Hi Justin! I have loved Legolas from the first moment I saw him. Orlando Bloom did such a good job of playing this character and he looks amazing! I love the box art but I would have also liked to have seen a picture of him drawing a bow. He’s got great accessories! They are nicely detailed and though I’ve seen the film a ton of times, I don’t remember everything he uses in the film. You are right about the clothing, it’s looks great in this figure and it looks just like legolas. I’m glad that the went with real hair and I kinda wish they gave two head sculpts, one with the real hair and one with mounded hair, some folks don’t like the real hair. He’s such a nice looking figure, he looks just like Bloom and has the perfect expression that Bloom had in the films. So yes, the mixed sculpted and flowing hair is nice too. The outfit is nice and looks good. Overall his body also seems right so I love this figure. Thanks for the video 💎😊

Not a great likeness to be honest. The eyes are too close. Take a look at the silicone version of Penguin Toys Legolas. Absolutely hands down the most realistic Legolas made to date.
