Thank you for this!! We're visiting Ladakh on Nov 30th til Dec 6th. Hope the weather will be fine and roads are passable. Looking forward for this trip.
Hi, Thanks for the video. I'm planning a trip in November end & early December with family. We'll be visiting Leh & Ladakh for the first time. Do you suggest going for the winter experience and how many days are sufficient and recommended in winter? And list of places one must visit in winter?
Most of the places will be shut during the time when you'll are visiting. You'll need a minimum of 7-12 days. But Pangong lake and nubra valley will be very dicy.
We are a newly wed couple and are planning to visit Leh via flight from Hyderabad in the month of December during Christmas - New Year week. 1. Is it viable to visit Leh-Ladakh during the last week of Dec? 2. Places like Puga, Nubra, Zanskar be open at that time? 3. Will there be any snowfall at that time? Also, could you please suggest some offbeat/undiscovered places in and around Leh-Ladakh? Thanks! PS: We haven't been to Ladakh yet, this shall be our first time.
Congratulations on your marriage... 1. It's not at all advisable to visit Leh Ladakh in December end for your honey moon. It could end up in a medical disaster. 2. Nubra valley is open on alternate dates but puga valley and Zanskar valley will surely be closed. 3. The temperature in Ladakh during that period will be -15°C and everything will be covered in snow. My personal recommendation is not to travel to Ladakh rather visit Kashmir during that same time.
I too am from Hyderabad. Was planning the same. I spoke to few locals there on phone. Every single person told me not to travel. Firstly being in southern part of india we are not used to cold. They strictly adviced not to travel as it will be extremely cold and on top of that altitude is higher than say manali..or srinagar so will be there will be very high chances of AMS. From my research, its better to go for a kashmir trip during that period and go for leh-ladakh trip in the month of april-may.
Planning to fly directly to leh on 7th and stay till 12th. What will be the condition of roadways to reach zanskar, nubra and pangong by rented bike from leh ?? Recommended ??
Hi, I've a plan to visit leh-ladakh in November by bike. following are my travel plan. is it viable?? or extremely dangerous?? please suggest. It's already started to Snow at Khardungla & Changla pass. Biking in the snow is something which can be very fatal. Please hire a taxi from Leh for nubra valley and Pangong Tso. Biking within Leh town for local site seeing is the best option in November.
We r 2 couples planning to go on 12th November from Srinagar to ladakh bay taxi.zojila pass will be open or not? B'cause some r saying better to do leh to leh by flight in November.
good information. i am planning to drive car from delhi - jammu - srinagar - drass - kargil - leh - kargil - srinagar - delhi during last week of october for 10 days to cover. is it viable?
How many will be in the vehicle with you who can take the wheel along this journey ?? 10 days trip will be a very cut to cut trip when you're planning a self drive trip. Winter is coming early this year which can cause the above route to be a problem. Make sure you carry chains for your four tyres.
@@thelandofwanderlust7184 I will alone be driving along with my wife. So, do you suggest better to fly directly to Leh and explore? Also, we are planning to return via train from srinagar to delhi(I understand we need to catch two trains and one road trip). Do you advise this? Also, any local packages you are aware for about 7 days in Leh?. We were planning for budget trip. Thanks in advance!
It's a very bad decision to self drive when your the only driver in November. What's your budget for this 7 days trip ? Returning via train is a complicated experience. It's better to take the shared SUVs from Srinagar to Jammu
