I visited my local model railroad club for their open house on 1/5/19. The Lehigh and Keystone Valley hosts quite a few open houses during the holidays, with some special days (modern equipment only, for example, is what you see in this video) and then they host one on the third Sunday of every month. I highly recommend you go if you're in the area. It's a fantastic, large layout and they have a great selection of models to watch too.

Trackside Safety: Trains are DANGEROUS. 262 people were killed by trains and an additional 840 people were injured in 2018. They must be respected. Stay a safe distance from the tracks while railfanning and never walk on the tracks for longer than it takes to cross. Never get close to the tracks when a train is approaching. Railfanning is fun if railfanning is safe.
