@@jbinthehills you guys do a great job. Infact heading to Millersburg Ohio (Amish Country) based on your feedback. Will definitely hit the buffetts and plan on doing the Covered Bridge trail. As a suggestion would love to see some West Virginia sights, I had a client in Delslow (spelling may be off) and stayed at a wonderful B&B in Buchanan (again spelling). Of course there is Greenbriar. Anywho thanks 😊
@@algernon5776 We live in West Virginia just haven't done many here. When we did nobody watched. We will have more coming from the Ohio Amish Country this week like the one today and the Breakfast Buffet from The Der Dutchman tomorrow. Any questions about you trip feel free to contact us and we can answer them for you if we can. Have safe Holiday. 😎😎
How I loved paper dolls! What a nice selection of old toys and games. I enjoyed seeing the 50's style and antique appliances, Lodge cast iron and all the baking supplies. The wood carvings are amazing! Would love to visit someday.
Enjoyed the video. We live in Florida now, but grew up in Wayne and Holmes County. Lehman Hardware was always a great place to visit. Thanks for sharing.
Been there several times, living in Oklahoma now , though been looking for another comparable place out here... Thank you for sharing your adventure...
What a walk down memory lane. My Mom used a lot of those things. I did have a drinking duck and sled. As far as the jack competition, John you're going down 😂 Great job on this video J & B.
Lehmans is must stop for us when we visit Kidron! You could spend a couple days in there and still not see everything! I loved the tour y’all took us on…..the kitchen department is my favorite! Thanks for lettin me tag along….I really enjoyed it❣️
Hi J and B,i have to say this was a great awesome tour of Lehman’s,and i really appreciate your video with your reminiscing conversation during the tour of Lehman’s🥫,keep more videos coming, lovin’it,Denny😊
What a great video. Those carvings 3d are beyond amazing.Loved the London phone booth. It is so nice to see some have kept the old values Thanks for this video
Im from kidron... since moved away. my end goal is to move back was showing a buddy about amish country and stumbled across your video.. slow tears are falling. i am so homesick. thank you for this.
Thank you for taking taking us with you on this tour I'm a 73 your great-grandmother and I haven't been to Lehman's since I was probably 28 thanks for taking us on these tours I love watching you and you made me hungry when you were tasting those desserts I was about licking my chops and wasn't even thinking about it
I have a lot of items from this store, all kinds of things for canning especially. My stepfather and mother came to Kidron almost every week, to the implement sale. He sold farm implements that were adjusted for Amish farmers.
This looks like a great place. Gonna have to travel to Ohio Amish country instead of always to Lancaster. Thanks for all your vlogs on their restaurants, hotels, and attractions.
@@jbinthehills I seriously enjoy your vids. The wife and you do a great job. Everyone of them I find interesting, can't wait to go to some. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.
me again, im diggin’ the old tunes on their overhead radio, but also kind of surprised that they would play those old tunes, so, maybe the Amish like the old rock and roll too. maybe they said “Let’s rock n roll”. ;-)
Wow, that's some kind of store. Heard about this place in a homesteaders video. LOVE the chimes . 😊...love those blue appliances . Could spend the day there! I too love to bake. TY
What a great trip down memory lane. I loved all the appliances and the refrigerator from the 50's. My job was to defrost that freezer, oh my !! Of coarse all the toys was like looking through the Sears Christmas catalog we would get every year. Thank you for a fabulous trip!! J & B you're the best.
I absolutely LOVE those vintage-looking kitchen appliances! I've never seen those before! I'm hunting those down because I'm in the market to replace my wall oven and dishwasher! Thanks, you two!
This is awesome. I especially loved seeing the old school toys. Of course I remember the telephone booth ❤️ I didn’t realize there was so much to see in Ohio. I live in Ontario Canada so I am no too far away. I will definitely plan a road trip soon through Ohio.
Y'all did such a great job in the Lehman's Hardware Store. So many things to look at. Loved reminiscing with you both! In a world full of negatives you are both a true blessing! ☺️💜💜
I like this place.I was born, and raised in Ohio, but I never went to Lehmans.Loved all those soda pops, and the toys from the fifties took me back.I was great with Jacks, marbles, and a yoyo when,I was a kid.Kids today, don't know what they missed.Very interesting video.
Love the variety of sodas. Root beer is my ultimate favorite. Talking about root beer, years ago we went to Utica, New York, where we toured a brewery that made beer and root beer, and at the end of the tour we were given a free root beer served in a chilled mug. Best root beer I ever tasted!
We remember gas being in the 70 and 80 cents range. Always enjoy seeing the old pumps and the prices on them. Lots of interesting things in the store. So much talent to make those wood carvings. The antique looking appliances were beautiful. It would be so cool to have a kitchen with those appliances. We never heard of onion goggles before. This store has such a variety of items. I'm sure y'all really enjoyed looking through the store. Loved seeing the Virginia Diner products in the store. Such a fun place! Thanks for sharing.
HI GUYS, AS ALWAYS, ALWAYS, WHAT A LOVELY VIDEO. I COULD REALLY SPEND DAYS AND DAYS IN THAT SHOP. WOULD LIKE SO MANY THINGS THERE. THE WOOD CARVING ITEMS ARE TOO BEAUTIFUL FOR WORDS. A COOKIE CUTTER, JUST CANNOT FIND A SHORTBREAD FINGER COOKIE CUTTER HERE IN SA (MY LATE HUSBAND MADE ME ONE). I STILL HAVE SOME OF MY PAPER DOLLS, USED TO LOVE PLAYING WITH IT. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS EXCELLENT VIDEO. STAY SAFE AND GOD BLESS, LOVE VAL
Cheerwine comes from Salisbury NC. They have a Cheerwine Festival two weeks ago. Thank you for sharing this store with us. Lots of memories in the toy section. Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend! Thanks to all the veterans for your service!
I always used to can my beef…… now I order from Lehmans…I get my beef…ground beef…bacon and chicken from them…Just like I always canned mine..So good!!
I still have a rotary egg beater that belonged to my mom, she got it in 1954, and believe it or not we still occasionally use it for instant pudding, whipped cream and dressings. I have a kitchen aide for the counter top but sometimes I just want something small and easy to clean up so I use that old beater. What a cool store, I had a spirograph when I was little, so many things you showed we had or friends had. Thanks for taking us along, this was very fun.
We have a dinner bell that we purchased from Lehman’s years ago when we lived up in Wooster, OH. We used the bell to call our kids in for dinner and the evening when they have been out in the neighborhood playing with their friends. We told them that if they could here the bell they were too far away. Great store! It’s been at least 15 years since we were down there.
I remember it being.50 a gallon. I do remember the gas rationing . I don't miss it either. I Loved the cat; but would prefer either a Black cat or a Tortieshell. They're both So beautiful!
I love it! And it brought back a lot of memories also. The toys and the singer machine etc etc, I'm interested in the stoves that don't require gas or electricity. I saw some in another video. I wonder if any of the wood carvings are for sale? I can't wait to get there myself
Wow! That store is amazing! I was born in the 50’s and the merchandise brought back so many wonderful memories of my childhood and adulthood. I know you said you were in there for 3 hours and I could have watched you shop in there that whole time 😂. Your sandwiches were great choices and looked delicious. Thanks again for taking us with you on your beautiful travels. 😊🕶🕶
We could have spent more time in the store. So many items to look at. It is look a trip down memory lane. I would like to spend more time in the kitchen item section. 😎😎
We use a bread box! In fact it was a gift years ago from my hubby to me at Christmas..........he stuffed it with dollar bills. LOL Do YOU remember when the "beatniks" called money "bread"? Love your channel.
Hey guys, you just hit 14,000 subscribers!! CONGRATULATIONS!! That store is such a walk down memory lane thanks for bringing us along...great memories...I miss my Easy Bake oven lol
I need some of those wind chimes. A joke between my husband and I everytime we see wind chimes. My neighbors threw a tantrum because we put 1 set of wind chimes in the backyard and it was "ruining their quality of life" ... their words not mine. Now everytime we see wind chimes, we have to buy more.
First thing I bought for our house was wind chimes. We lived there for 6 years and got a new neighbor and the first thing he said was do I have to listen to those. Lol Thank goodness he moved. 😎😎
It seems like it would be too expensive to live without electricity. Very interesting! It brought back great childhood memories! Thanks for the vlog!❤️
Thanks for the fun video of Lehman's Hardware; our son lives a couple hours away from there and my wife and I get to visit the beautiful Holmes County area on occasion. Lehman's is a wonderful store, and a great reminder of my upbringing, but in particularly of my grandparents home. The in-store video they show is a very informative video and we enjoyed watching it the first time we visited. We wander through the stores and the hours disappear; a fun destination and a great place to pick up some wonderfully useful items (along with toys, candy, etc!!!). Excellent video guys!!!
I enjoyed this store so much ! I could of lived in the Bake / Kitchen section . I love to bake my speciality is home made yeast rolls , pies and homemade cake my favorite is carrot cake . I love how you all always give the price of each item . Thanks for taking us along 🧡🤍Ren!
@@jbinthehills Bobbie maybe one day we can go together and check out the Kitchen stuff that would be so much fun ! I bet you are an excellent cook & baker also . Y’all are very welcome I enjoy your videos so much ! 🧡🤍
I remember the popsicle thing Mom bought from Tupperware and she made popsicles for us. Really enjoyed your video! Lots of cool stuff they have! Your sandwiches looked so good!
Great video. I can see how you could spend 3 hours. I just ordered their catalog. I'd never heard if this store. In New England we have the Vermont Country Store. They also have items that are hard to find especially old fashioned candy.
Wow, what a fun place. I loved the wood carvings. I'll bet they look even better in person. I sort of cringed when I saw the ice cube trays with the handles. As a kid, they would be filled too high and I couldn't operate the handle. Ugh! Great place, though. Loved the video. ~Gloria
Holy Smokes ! That place is huge. If you can’t find it there, you don’t need it. That pretend phone call you had was hilarious. Thanks for another excellent video. You guys do a very thorough review , and manage to find places I’ve not seen anyone else do. Another Gold Star Review. ⭐️
What a great video loved the tour I’m thinking of making a trip to Ohio to visit alot if these places you have posted on your you tube thank you so much I always feel like I took a little trip when I watch you both safe travels looking toward to your next video ❤️

Always wanted to go there for years after seeing it advertised around Canton. Also want to visit Smuckers nearby. Probably in April. Id love to try dark choclate & raspberry fudge.
Heading here today! Also going into Berlin and Sugarcreek. Have you ever visited that part of Holmes County. There's a great awesome Christmas store called Tis the Season. I haven't gone way back into your videos to see if you've been there. Also going to Castle noel on NYE!
We have video from there coming out today. We have several videos from Holmes County and just were there this week. Our new Tis the Season video comes out today. Awesome Christmas store. We stayed at the Encore this time very nice place. Have fun
I am a new subscriber to your channel and watch every video. Love your food reviews and tried McAllister's deli here's in Nashville on Door Dash after seeing your review. Bobbi always looks so pretty
Lehmans in Kidron OH . The owner died last year. I believe he worked in the store until he was age 90. Since I live nearby. There was a big story about him in many of the local papers. That store in Kidron was was started to serve the. Amish. And has been built onto and enlarged several times. Best time to come up here is very early April. No crowds then.
We were there before I bought a chocolate apple. We wanted to go back and film them making chocolate, but after Covid, they wouldn't let you back there. We will have to go .😎😎
