Worked through calc III 20 years ago. This video was a big help. Your students are lucky to have such a great lecturer. Turn your covid videos into a youtube career!!!
After 5:35 , how good you are , there are only few who are explaining these things ....... Even I know these things , I am watching these videos just because you are that much good at explaining things..... And I wish to have explaining capacity like you ....
I'm not mathematic student. However, just because of your way of teaching, I have started watching your videos. And now, I love to learn math as well.😅
I have been taking a calculus class online which is extremely hard. Thank you for posting. You explaining why we need to do something helps me understand a lot more!
Kuznetsov Maths In the notation dy/dx, y is the function x^2 + x^4. The dy/dx explicitly references the function being differentiated. If he used the notation d/dx instead, he’d have to write it as d(x^2 + x^4)/dx. In both cases, the function y is on top, just in different forms. tl;dr only the d/dx notation requires a function in its numerator to work, not the dy/dx notation.
