My pursuit of the perfect on camera flash for a Leica is an ongoing endeavor. I am convinced there is not one single flash unit that will do it all, but I’m going to keep trying.
Hi amigo! Looking for a trigger for Leica M240 but overwhelmed with the size of Godox (for me kills the magic of M when in studio) what’s the first Nikon controller you’re showing?? Looks soooo cute! Thanks for sharing!
Hello, I noticed you mentioned about you using the Nikon version for Leica. Is it the only version that works with it ? I don’t see they make one for the Leica except the pro
I'm with you on this too. am looking for a speedlight that would fit my M leica. so far, the smallest flash for my M is the rollei e15b but that require a pc sync cable to communicate with the camera (I use it on the type 246 as they have a grip that has the sync port. aside from that, I am still currently searching for more nikon speedlight to do the job (so far the SB 20 is the smallest that do manual control but it is still too big imo). my other alternatives would be with the godox system with their respective wireless triggers since my other digital M don't do PC sync like the type 246 which kind of take out the discreet nature of using the M if I say so myself.
Yes. The Leica dedicated Profoto Connect Pro remote works with Leica Q series of cameras in TTL. If you only shoot manual you can use the non-TTL single pin Connect pro or the regular Connect remote in the Nikon version.
@@kaskoPhoto thanks for your answer and your work ! I have another question : you seem to have the Profoto flash that we can hold with one hand + an extra body that makes the Profoto looks like an usual flash cobra ! Do you have the référence? Thank you !!
Hi, I have the leica Q2 and the flash SF40 both brand new but for some reason the flash ins't firing. Any idea why? any setting that needs to be on or off ? thank you
The only thing to check is the shutter speed which should be on 180 ( I know that is painfully obvious but so many set it to the 250 and then scratch their heads).
They did! And if they could just do a Connect sized remote I would be looking to try it. Remotes are all so big anymore. Which for what they offer makes sense- just not for me.
@@kaskoPhoto Yes, SF24D is one I have not tried, but it seems to sit where the Q/M20 does and if that works then on with the party! The lightpix is just great to use for on/off camera when wanting too. No bad lights, just maybe different tints and power outputs. As a wise man once said to me PLAY!
Use all options for different looks. SL2 /SF60 and new Connect Pro. Also use the new Flashpoint trigger for that eco system. Fuji I have the ef-x20 and ef-x500 for my XT5 and XH2S. Both fabulous results. Also have the R2 ii trigger. Throw in two Aeos lights for different portable situations. I play around with all these set ups. But I applaud Leica for paying into Profoto. I have SF-60 that died and Leica recently said they can’t fix it. $400 used price down the drain.
$600 for the Fuji Flash? I remember paying | not that price | back in 2014 for mine. But you know, once the hipsters get ahold of something and it splashes across a million 20ish year old weekend warrior picture taker's RU-vid channels (Yo, whaddup RU-vid {insert endless rambling for seven minutes finally followed by} ... so let's get into it...") the prices are driven sky high.
I have the SF-24D and the SF-60 that i use with the M11 and in my experience, the 24D is more consistently good TTL performance...it's annoying with those 123A batteries.
I just shot a brand event with the 24D and it was amazing. The batteries I get from Amazon and aren’t to bad. But yes, it’s a bit of an issue getting them in a pinch.
The SF 40 is my daily carry for events. It’s absolutely the best there is for the M on-camera setup. I’m just always looking for different “looks” and I love light and small. But when the job has to get done and I don’t have play-room - the SF40 is my go-to
I just got the SF 40, last week for my bday. First time out with it - I love it. I especially love the simple dial. I’m coming from Canon and all of their speedlites. The dial is nice and plain to use on my new M11. Thanks for your videos.
600 Dollars for the EF-X20?!?!!?! LMAO I paid 90 bucks for used one via Instagram Story. People are crazy these days. Maybe I should sell my x100v at 1000 bucks winnings.
