Thanks, My first curtain was not opening all the way on the slower shutter speeds and on the fastest speed 1/1000th, the first curtain was not opening fast enough leading to a blank exposure because I think that the second curtain was closing before the first could open properly. This video was perfect and I think fixed my issue. Going to put a roll through it to test it out. Thanks!!!
Hello, I have seen your video many times but I still am not so sure of which one of the screws I need to tight. The problem with my shutter is that (when set in one second) doesn't open entirely. It does open perfectly when set in Bulb. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your video, Sensei. My M2 hav dark output on the left side of the photos, usually when using 1/1000 shutter speed. After researching, I suspect it's shutter capping. I should adjust the first curtain, right?

I cant know correctly. There may be some reasons. Shutter mechanical problem. Shutter strap broken. Lower tension shutter. Little film chip or bodycovering chip stay inside.
how would you know if both curtains were adjusted to produce the right speed? As the curtains travel, is the gap between both of them supposed to remain the same?
As it is visible, the speed of the M Leica is easier to understand than Barnack Leica. However, it is a judgment by feeling. It's the same gap, only the opening times are different.
Hi from Venezuela, I have a cuestion, my Leica M3 have the lever stuck (just go half way and no more) shutter button don't go all down. When I put the camera on R to rewind (should release tension and curtain) doesn't do nothing. What could I do? I hope u can help me. Thanks for u time.
My tip of 2nd shutter curtain is not fully hidden inside camera, I can see it in the film chamber. What tension screw should I turn to fully hide tip of 2nd curtain? Thank you
