Hello. Always happy with your videos. One question. Can the Q3 replace the quality and dynamic photos in black and white, compared to the monochrome Q2?
Now Ricoh-Pentax need to step up to the plate and deliver us the GRIV we've all been begging for, because and sadly, not all of us can afford to be part of the Leica elite.
I wonder how well it works for zone/range focus. That's what's kept me off these point-and-shoot on steroids bodies thus far. Would love to finally have a solid option.
@@ROBINVLOGSLIFE Oh I know they have the functionality. I read a couple reviews that said the Q series distance scale wasn't particularly accurate. It was years ago now, though.
It sounds like a fantastic camera from a technical perspective,, but if this is your camera for street photography, make sure you have good insurance. I think for the street, the Ricoh and, yes, the latest iPhones are better choices, and not just because they are 20 per cent of the price. It is mandatory to be as invisible as possible on the street, and people who opt for Leicas, it's my guess, are not after invisibility.
If you cannot afford to lose it, then don't buy it! I can't afford it, that is no secret, but there are also those with enough money to bury a whole country, so if they lose a Leica on the streets, they will just buy another one, I don't see any issue with that. Ricoh's AF is so poor, and it also has too many issues - no tilt screen, poor screen visibility, no EVF, poor battery life, I just want a tool that works. If you think you can be happy with iPhone, then by all means, shoot with it. As for me, I'd prefer to feel and operation of a real camera.
@@ROBINVLOGSLIFE i use snap focus with the Ricoh, it works well,, and I compose by instinct, don’t require a viewfinder. For me it does what I need. I realize you take your Q everywhere, and I respect that. Your videos are great.
It is a looker, still not as good looking as the 100v though. Good for Leica that they have people to pay those insane prices. I hope they continue to be successful.
Any street photographer would appreciate what the Q3 has to offer. Of course, the price tag can be a deterrent, even to myself, who clearly cannot afford one. Budget constraint aside, I don't see how this is "not suited for everyone".
Leica should have a RF model with fast AF & Interchangeable lens… Q3 is tempting but that fixed lens feels a bit limiting for the money my first full frame was the RX1 when it launched but hardly used it when A7R came out… I m still keeping RX1 in my dry cabinet though
I think Canon RF mount is great, but Leica is also doing a lot of things right. I don't see having a fixed lens as "limiting". If you want interchangeable lens ability, there are many other options available, from Leica and from other brands. Those who want the Q3 want it for the all in one built - not being able to change lens can be a benefit in many situations too. Sony RX1 is a great camera, but Sony, being Sony is more like a gadget tool than a real camera, like Leica.
