Thanks so much for creating this very clear and easy to understand tutorial. It is really helpful for me to make up my almost 70 year old mind to return to Leica after abandoning it ... 40 years ago. One of my fears was the menu - you tought me I have nothing to be afraid about 🙂
Great video! I watched several times while deciding whether to add the SL to my tool collection (M 240s and film MP) and again as I waited for delivery. The SL is wonderful, and I am so glad that this and other videos were available to help me decide on it.
Kristian! As a newcomer to this Leica family, I was really excited to come across this video because I finally was able to take the Leica experience via the Test Drive program. Thank you again for keeping it very simple. The background music was a nice selection as well!
The second and SL I bought just arrived. Great video to learn how to use the SL. I love back button focusing for action shooting. That said, I don't think I need that setup for the SL. AF-S and M wlll be what I will be using on this SL. For AF-C, I will use my Nikon D500 or D4s.
great video indeed / very helpful....although im still trying to figure out why some functions are not available based on my settings but i can't figure how to get to the point of changing the the settings / it's easy when you there but where you're not and can't figure how to get back to where you started in an editing mode that is, it's quite frustrating but it's always the user we say.... 🍭
Great review!!! I just recently purchased my first Leica, the V-lux, typ 114. Having owed a Nikon D810, and many other great cameras, I was absolutely blown away by the quality of even this entry level Leica, and most significantly, it's amazing speed to focus. Is there any advice you can give to someone who is considering buy thins camera, in addition to the lenses needed to sue it to it's fullest potential?? Any advice would be appreciated. great review,i just purchased a new sl.,I have watched your video numerous times,and it very informative. I still cant figure out,how to get the black screen for touch screen operation with settings.
This camera is an ergonomic nightmare and the operator looks like Stevie Wonder playing Vivaldi's “Summer” on the harpsichord. Great to be used as a basic analogue camera if you are careful not to touch any of the buttons.
The quality of the Leica SL sensor is VERY BAD compared with other professional cameras top as Nikon or Sony, Leica cameras are no longer the best cameras as in the past, IMAGE QUALITY OF CAMERAS LEICA ,NOT JUSTIFY ITS PRICE, WHO WANTS to be fooled by the siren calls LEICA MARKETING BUY ONE, BUT YOU ARE ALREADY WARNED!!!! these days Leica is one of the worst cameras in relation quality and price. AND FOR THE MONEY I CAN TELL YOU IS A COMPLETE DESAPPOINTMENT. NO GOOD QUALITY!
