Good call for a yellow, a very unfortunate mistake but a mistake it was, the player was falling into the tackle, otherwise it would have been at a safe height
There was an attempt to wrap the arms , seen by one arm around him and the other one coming up, and the law says as long as there is an attempt, so it was a very good tackle that was high due to the other player ducking or lowering himself.
Getting a bit fed up with this manufactured "conflict" between Ellis Genge and his old club Bristol. The commentator here, who otherwise does a half-decent job, adds to it with one throwaway comment.
YELLOW ONLY?! That is a red card tackle, he hasn't lowered his body enough to make a legitimate tackle, no attempt to wrap his arms, direct shoulder contact to the head, it's a red card tackle
It's an illegal tackle but only because there's contact with the head; Veianu's falling as the tackler approaches which mitigates the circumstance, and unless you're blind you'll see he leads with the arms. It's a yellow every day but no way is it a red.
@@newmanj8690 anyway you said it yourself its contact with the head and a tackle like that is rlly fucking dangerous and people who disagree are either Bristol Bears fans bitter that they got beat or someone who has clearly never stepped foot on a rugby pitch
@@swampwolfegaming1233 again, contact to the head does not in itself constitute a red card offence. The ball carrier drops in height suddenly which is a mitigating factor-in turn meaning it's not a red card.
@@newmanj8690 again it is direct shoulder contact to the head and the players safety should be the referees main concern due to the high concussion risk. Have you even looked at the rules since 2002 concussions are actually being taken into account when a dangerous tackle is made. JP Doyle should have consulted the TMO
@@swampwolfegaming1233 again, direct shoulder contact to the head does not in itself mean red card. The directives are that if the player suddenly drops in height, as Veianu did, that is a mitigating factor and the sanction is a yellow card. Look up the rules yourself if you don't agree, there are clear circumstances in which contact with the head is not a red card offence.
Premiership are failing to create any interest among casual fans in the players. I read that this was Sam Harrison’s last game. I’d never heard of him before, but I saw a nice photo of him being carried off the field. He was a servant to the club, and is now headed into (early) retirement. Why isn’t that touching moment part of the coverage. You need to get people interested in the personalities on the field. Otherwise it’s just a lot of faceless players and of little interest to the world at large.
