IMCW's Second Sunday Dharma Series presents Leigh Brasington, with host Silvia Garcia-Pereira
In this Second Sunday Dharma Series session, IMCW Teacher Silvia Garcia-Pereira is in conversation with Leigh Brasington, Buddhist meditation teacher and author of Right Concentration, A Practical Guide to the Jhanas and Dependent Origination and Emptiness: Streams Of Dependently Arising Processes Interacting. He was the senior North American student of Ven. Ayya Khema who authorized him to teach and he began leading residential retreats in 1997. Since then he has taught jhanas, dependent origination, and insight practices in over one hundred and forty residential retreats. We will discuss with Leigh why he has described the jhanas as being “the heart of the Buddha’s practice:’ and how is it that they’re so little known to most practitioners these days?.
