great video bro me and my wife aways watching your videos all the way from the Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago respect man and keep making more videos man
Just finished watching last week's episode of Blackish. They mentioned your neighborhood. I Google Earthed your area and then came across this video. Having lived in Detroit and knowing the false narrative that suburbanites and most people who don't live in Detroit have about Detroit, I wanted to see if the same was true about Leimert Park. Although your video doesn't discuss ALL the information about, what crime may exist there, frankly your neighborhood looks darn good to me. This is the only video I've seen about your area so far but I urge you to continue to make TRUTHFUL (focusing on the good and the bad) videos about where you live. Don't let others who know nothing about where you live, dictate YOUR narrative. Good job guys!
Hi Dom! What up? Cool Video. Thanks for Supporting South LA, bro! I'd like to show you the up side of Leimert--there are some beautiful homes, great community support and the train is a comin'! It's more West of where you were driving here in your video. Let me know when you are ready to do an update on this...I'll give you a tour. One Love, HP
Hello Heather. That would be great if you could show us around and maybe some of your listings. Let me know if when you would like to do that. Thank you.
hey love the vids..I was wondering if you can make some more videos near Athens Park/Willowbrook. Like the "Welcome to Compton" video...i find that place very interesting.
Scatman Crothers used to live about three blocks from the house in this video. He was the Black man in the movie The Shining. Marvin Gaye's family home was about two miles north on Arlington. Sam Cunningham, the former running back for the Patriots lives about three miles south on Arlington. Just to name a few.
I don't know what streets you were on but the houses and streets you showed may be adjacent to or near Leimert Park but it is not Leimert. I purchased real estate in Leimert Park 5 years ago and none of those places looked familiar to me. Google Leimert Park real estate, click on IMAGES, and see what you get.
Because those streets you showed are not Leimert park. Arlington is not Leimert park, it's King Estates. LP starts at 4th Ave/Roxton and goes west to Crenshaw; Vernon on the south to Rodeo/Exposition on the north . Dude, some of the footage showed you were on 2400 block of Trinity (4:13) - that's south of near downtown near San Pedro street. Not even close. Just saying. I liked your background music, though.
mrkinia, the house at the beginning of this video and the area where they were walking is indeed Leimert Park. Years ago the eastern border of Leimert Park was considered 4th Ave/Roxton, while everything else was basically South Central LA. In recent years, however, in an effort to change the negative view of South Central, neighborhoods have been carved up, and renamed, e.g., Jefferson Park, Exposition Park, etc., etc. And as new names were given to various neighborhoods Leimert Park's boundaries were extended eastward to Arlington. So the house at the beginning of this video is on the eastern edge of Leimert Park. I followed your advice and Googled Leimert Park real estate, clicked on IMAGES, and sure enough Zillow had a map of Leimert Park that shows it's eastern border as Arlington. The later part of this video was of him driving away from Leimert Park, and passed the Coliseum.
Wonder how drug dealers work in LA. Here in south america dealers use scouts with cellphones to spot the police and the dealers stay always in the same places (usually an alleyway), so when the cops show up they disappear and appear right away when they leave. It is also like that in LA, or do you have to know somebody that know somebody so that you can have what need??
Thanks for the video--it is fun to see our neighborhoods--but in fairness it does not help to mis-identify them. You were not in Leimert Park. No, Arlington and 4th Ave are too far east. Ends at Roxton. King where the nice lady was walking is not Leimert Park. Let's be proud of South Central, with correct identification ok?Have fun.
That's close to the border of the 30s and the 40s, but it's technically the 30s. Twenty years ago there would have been no doubt that was 30s hood. But times have changed.
I agree man…I went to South Central with my cousin. He said be careful cause this the hood. I looked around like what? This don’t look hood 😂 I think we we’re in Leimert Park.
I think it was Gopro hero 5. Wouldn’t recommend it thou due to a low quality of sound and expensive accessories to get the sound working. Sony fdr x 3000 is what I use now
+Ms EyeCandy there is a whole gang of them. Even LA has safe neighborhoods like Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Hollywood Hills, Encino, Shermon Oaks and more.
Ms EyeCandy, gang activity is way down in LA. Although if you weren't living here in the 80s and 90s today's LA might seem rough to you. As far as I'm concerned LA is paradise now. Proof of that is all the White folks moving into areas like the one filmed in this video. To be honest, LA is fast becoming a city for folks with money, unless you're already established here.
