Hi Thank you for your message. Even with the new Triac AT, we recommend to cool it down whenever possible. This can extend the lifetime and also contributes to safety. The Triac AT has an automatic cool-down function which cools down the heat gun automatically and then switches it off directly, making life easier. Your Leister Team
If the tool is heating up, then you can see an arrow in the display. If the arrow shows up, then the tool is still heating up. If the arrow shows down, then the tool is over the target temperature and will cool down a little bit. If there is no arrow, then the tool has the correct temperature, means the actual temperature is the same like the target/set temperature. Best regards Leister Team
