One of the best examples of how a bassline can be so simple yet hard hitting and original… less is more imo. No disrespect to the quick and super technical bands, but I think if you can relay so much emotion and technicality in just a few notes, you’ve mastered the craft.

Their songs are so complex and musically incredibly well-written, but I love the “less is more” approach to their music. This song in particular has one of the greatest baselines of all time imo. Incredible musicians
