Why should the bride price be returned after divorce? Who gives the woman her time and other immaterial things she has lost back then? These cultural things are backwards imo.
But the man also loses his time and immaterial things. Who pays him back for that? If you are against the bride price being returned, you should agree that it shouldn't have been paid in the first place. In a divorce, both should leave as they came unless the woman was a stay-at-home wife, seeing as she would have sacrificed her own money-making abilities for marriage.
@@nollywoodrankings A man's time is different from a woman's. Hence why you are considered old at 40 and him not so much. He can have kids way older than you. This you should be well aware of. A woman's biggest asset is her youth and beauty. Of a man is his ability to earn money. You want to cape for men, go ahead. It is called being a pickmesha. Goodbye!!!!
@ninawestlake14 First of all, I am a man. Secondly, I never said a man's time and woman's are the the same, but a good father and husband also invests things he can't get back if the marriage ends. Lastly, it's unfair you reply in such an aggressive tone when I was just trying to have a respectful conversation even with differing opinions. Have a great day.
That's exactly my point. BTW in Islam, if the man asks for a divorce, dir will be no returning of bride price, but if d woman asked for it, she has to return it.
