"Lele Amarkot ko Gai" is a traditional wedding song that loosely translates to "the bird has flown to Amarkot". The late Padma Shri Sakar Khan (here in his 70's), was the finest of the kamancha players from the Manganiyar community. He is accompanied here by his son Darra Khan (recovering from a kidney transplant operation and hence the face-mask). Recorded in Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan, India. October 2011 field recordings, Amarrass Records. Visit www.amarrass.com for more great music!
