Yes! Great idea! Normally I always use hot glue as well for that reason but didn’t have it with me during this repair. But yes hot glue is a great way to go! Thank you!:)

Hello, thank you for your message. WD40 over time could hurt the gears especially with continued use. However regular White Grease should solve this without risk of damage. Thank you:)

Hello, that can be a tricky issue but let’s see if we can dive in a little deeper on it. It’s very possible the motors are bad but we may be able to track something down. But first, you mentioned the power supply is not original. That can cause some issues on its own if it’s not the right amount of power. Do you have a volt meter by chance? If so, I would say start by testing the power voltage coming from the supply to make sure it’s giving you what the house needs. After that test the power that the motors are getting. also if you could email me pictures of the motors an any info on them as well as the power meter findings that would be great. Then I can do some research an see what I can find for you. But starting with measuring the voltage is probably a good start. Because if your getting a slight spin when it powers up that makes me think there’s more of a power issue somewhere. @@VillagesAndMore so I pulled the motors apart nothing in the gears so I believe it is the power supply it probably is a ac dc power supply because when I tried out a couple of replacement motors they did the same thing and it's the exact same if it touch it to a 9v battery so the hard part is finding a proper ac power supply since the original is not made any more

Hello, Thank you for your message. So just confirming, all your lights work but the animation is dead? It sounds to me like a bad motor. Using a volt meter I would check the contact on the motor an make sure the motor is getting power. If so, an it’s still not moving. Chances are it needs a motor replacement. There’s a always a couple odd ball things that could cause this. But motor seems to be number one. Thank you.

So when I look at this it seems like the motor is inevsesible it’s in a part that is covered in ceramic and the base is not coming off so I don’t know if it’s connected for not
