Absolute legend. The guy makes me listen, laugh, learn, and admire all at the same time. We lost a great person when Lemmy died. They dont make them like this any more.
straight talking, doesn't mince his words, and says exactly what's on his mind, without any heirs and graces, gives complete honesty, the world would be a lot better place if everybody else was like this
I was fortunate to meet Lemmy a couple of times back in the day. When your a teenager and you meet him for the first time there is a sense of intimidation from him, then he starts talking to you and you realize what a great guy he is. Miss ya buddy!
Gosh. I loved so much this man. His spontaneity. His charisma. His attitude. Everything. He was the most refined and polite man and he hated bad manners as he rightly says in this vid. A very special, genuine and true rock player. Miss you man...
I love Lemmy. Always an absolute joy to listen to - one of these people like Lennon that always says (said, sob) something quick and funny and at the same time incredibly perceptive and true. I don't think I've ever heard Lemmy say anything stupid.
I worked a Motorhead show in a small club back in 1980 something, and after the gig, I stood in the middle of the house floor and had a chat with Lemmy....He was a smart, thoughtful, and funny guy...that was when he was still wearing the white boots, and the show was loud enough to loosen the fillings in your mouth...
Motörhead is like our Beatles. It helps if you are or were a motorhead yourself and lived. The band starts to make more sense. The music embodies the drug perfectly. Do it long enough it becomes part of your persona and yeah motörhead makes perfect sense whether you still turn on or not. Rock n Roll. Today I drove down Lake Shore Drive in Chicago at 7am this morning at top speed listening to the NO SLEEP AT ALL live album and rolled down the window once I got to the John Hancock on Michigan Ave to represent Rock n Roll. Felt like a damn viking. Eat The Rich!!!!
Lemmy is the very definition of charisma: intellect, self deprecation mixed with the intense knowledge of having been around for decades by the time this video was taken. And props to him for calling out polite behaviour 😊!
weirdest part of this is. nowadays, you want an interview with a band/front man of a band. their always backstage. this is 1988, lemmy's just doing a casual interview at reading fest as just a casual guy at a festival. the world/bands need more people like lemmy.
The gentleman. Beautiful turn of phrase and pure soul. Even though his music wasn't at the fore of my rotation, I admire the man. My regret is not meeting him since I lived not far. Also think about that. Of all the celebrity out there, I can safely say I could meet this legend if he were still alive because he was a real person. If I'm lucky I'll end up saying the same or some other on all the vids referencing Lemmy eventually. They're so many after all. Cheers this man. Let us see this and let his spirit ring for many many years.
Me watching this as a Finn: "please don't ask anything about Finland because nobody cares, just ask some reasonable questions" The reporter: "HEYYY what do you think about Finland and Finnish music and audience " Me: "aaaawww shit, here we go again"
To see Lemmy in 80s in that Ramones t-shirt is the most natural, pure and true thing in the world. Then you see all these clowns wearing the same t-shirt today, (incapable to name half a song of Ramones) just because the logo was redeemed and became trend. Pure Decline..
November 1979 bradford...me a 17 y old fan..4 hrs later cue high pitched noise in head..for 3 days..(temp deafness)yep they were LOUD..and brilliant..saxon were ok..hahaha what a legend..rip Lemmy one of a kind😎
LEMMY SEMPRE TEVE UMA BANDA DESPRETENCIOSA . MOTORHEAD NUNCA TEVE VENDA EXTRAORDINARIA DE DISCOS. O LANCE ERA FAZER SHOWS. ESTAR AO VIVO COM O PÚBLICO QUERIDO
Rollo Yeah, she spoke good English, was always professional, well prepared, and asked good questions...that’s why most artists respected her...reminds me little bit of Vanessa Warwick, who was the host of European Headbanger’s Ball on MTV...
LEMMY IS THE MAN!! I had the chance to see Motörhead around 15 years ago when i was 21. I'll never forget an older looking bikie guy asking me " how the fuck do you know this music?" I replied i don't fucking know been listening to it for years, what about you?" He then ripped off his shirt and was covered in Motörhead tattoos head to toe. FUCKING EPIC!!
Lemmy is not your typical uptight English kwanker, most of them act like Simon Cowell, that's why he moved to LA. His image does not match, what comes out of his mouth, he is a gentleman, and a nice guy. He ran Motorhead for a long time, he was allways there, good ole reliable Motorhead , until the very end. I have good memories , my late best friends son was named Lemmy, in honor of Lemmy. That Lemmy is alive and kicking, they both resemble real Lemmy. Just missing the warts.
