I wonder what would happened If motorhead was created in our days. Probably, he wouldn't be able to play because political correctness would called him a nazi, fascist, misogynist, etc.
I'm a brown Puerto Rican and I will defend Lemmy Kilmister until the end, I'm not speaking for all brown people like me but I don't think Lemmy was a fascist or a nazi. I listen to the badass that is Motörhead and I have a jacket that has some "offense" pins and badges. Fuck anyone that calls this great musician a fascist because you don't like what he wears, if you don't like his music just say it don't go around making excuses to get offended. Thank you Lemmy for the music and fuck the idiots that are butthurt.
*It's "harmless" for Germany to allow Far- Left supporters and illegal to allow Far-Right supporters.* *I thought Germany was all about Democracy...* *Democracy my ass.*
Lemmy would have approved of this video and so do I. At least he didn't deny that the Nazi's did anything wrong and he was up front about where he stood on issues, even up too his passing. "LONG LIVE MOTORHEAD and LONG LIVE LEMMY!!"
@@maxrobinson9553 No. It's a Spanish Cross w/ Swords. The War Merit Cross is worn on a ribbon and so has a ring at the top like the EK2 Lemmy wears as a Knight's Cross. The Spanish Cross with Swords is a breast badge. The War Merit Cross (2d Class) has two swords and so two cross guards. The breast badge Lemmy is wearing has what appear to be four cross guards, but are actually a Luftwaffe eagle at each end of the two crossed swords; one below the cross guard at the forte, and one on the foible. Just do a quick web search for "Spanish Cross with Swords,"
What the f--- good was that, in that war it was just two Socialist parties attackin' each other like a couple packs of junkyard dogs tryin' to become top dog, a Socialist is a Socialist, i don't give a shit which party it is, Nazi, Fascist, Commie, F--- 'EM ALL, AND WASTE 'EM ALL.
@@DopeOrNope2 The pic on the right is the II class war merit cross. The award on Lemmy's jacket is the Luftwaffe Condor legion cross, worn on the right breast of German airmen involved in the Spanish civil war.
I'am big fan of lemmy and everything i heard him say, including topics like tolerance n stuff. But i can't really digest, how litely he wears the symbols of that school of thoughts. Meaning, i can't decide, if i like him doing that or not.
It's not that hard to work out... He did it at least partly for the shock value and to push the boundaries of acceptability. But also to outrage the pearl clutching, self-righteous, gobshites of "polite society".
It was popular dare I say a trend to play around with fascism or Nazi iconography in the seventies in Great Britain. Hell even Bowie did it for awhile. Lemmy just never got out of that phase lol.
German uniforms were always designed to inspire people to join the army, hence the iron cross medal awarded in the franco/prussian war in the 19th century and in WW1 and WW2.
Well as a Luftwaffe modeller and a Student for live of History, both I do love, I used History in my case my BIG LOVE for The Old Spanish Tercios, Los Tercios Viejos de España, la mejor infantería de la Historia de la Humanidad del Primer Imperio Global de la Historia. I mean we were too big for soooo long, I ve been crazy for many years as well painting oil paint (so a lot of reading, studing ol paints from XV, XVI XVII century, Im interesting on 1530 -1640 ships.…I love to paint them as close as real but im naive they say..)sPaiN,.?? now look😒 . So I put some historic fact,-even not been counsious if it at all jejeje-in my lyrics, I beeen playing music and composing/ doi g Lyrics and all for 33 , guitar, bass, piano, keydboar, singin ™Jajajaja...andthat's me ..till the day you listening to Bastard Album you miss somethi g 'bout Rock and Roll !!!!!!
I heard that when Lemmy was a roadie for the band The Nice he got Keith Emerson to start sticking Nazi daggers into his keyboards instead of regular knives.
Cut the crap!Lemmy is a music legend! If someone wants to judge him, he will judge him as a musician only. We are not interested in everything else, we are only interested in the music he left behind !!! Which will continue to sounds for many more years !!!
Don't lose your time with these "progressive metalheads". They care more about political correctness than music. If motörhead was created in our times, this idiots would call him a "fascist" because of his passion for military history, or a "misogynist" because of his attitude towards women. BUNCH OF IDIOTS.
I used to collect straight razors, for shaving purposes. I still use straight razors but I don’t collect anymore. Not that anyone asked but at last count i have 77 straight razors and i have shaved with all of them. Anyways, my point in posting is to say that the German made straight razors are the best IMNSHO. Others would argue that point but Solingen (Germany) was the epicenter for German straight razors
Lemmy is the clear example that being a good musician does not make you intelligent, much less emotionally intelligent, wearing Nazi uniforms, and having huge swastikas in your house does not make you more than a child who does not know what he does , a childish being behind a rough appearance. I think Lemmy was a cool guy, but this is out of the question for anyone. He was allowed and everything is questioned and "well, okay" EXCLUSIVELY because he was famous and charismatic, I see a guy dressed as a Nazi on the street and I beat him up. Against the intolerant one cannot be tolerant and this incessant marketing (supposedly involuntary) is inadmissible.
So my thought is that he isn't a natzi he just like to collect things from the world war because of how smooth the clothing to him appeared. i still don't quite understand because if he wears the clothing for the tour around the world isn't that supporting Neo Natzis? IDK
He was so idiot wearing it, one thing it's collect things and other it's wearing it, i think he was not nazi or racist but he was a very extravagant person and not very smart wearing things like that
He wasn't into political correctness. He came from a time rock and roll was about not caring what others thought of him and was in opposition of trends, totally the opposite of this current "progressive and political correct rock and roll" that cares more about not offending feminists and the political establishment than music. ;)
@@revolucionarionacional623 your comment is the best so far. I was heavy into punk my whole life an identified as an anarchist but I feel the punk scene was high jacked long ago by communism and progressive woke culture just as the skin head scene was high jacked by fascism. Now I just say I’m a rocker and don’t where patches or pins of either far left or right bands. Motörhead is by far my favorite RockinRoll band and I myself sport a German death head badge on my studded leather. Fuck political correctness
