Made this delicious cake and it turned out so perfect! Im vegan so i added cashew and almond yogurt instead of the sour cream, and for the egg i heated 1/2 cup of flax seed in 1 cup of water and stir until a white foam forms on top and siev quickly . Left it to rest for few mins and it had the same consistency as 2 eggs. Love this recipe !
@@HowToCookSmarter I bet you going over just a list of your favorite ingredients and why would have some ladies in love with some new ideas if you wanted to back it with some jazz or Samba music to get them excited to cook/shop~😼🎶🔥
These are brilliant recipes.. My advice to you is to do a cook book and sell it.. There is a big market there for healthy recipes! Wish you much success and keep up the good work!
Wanted something quicker so I made this recipe as mini muffins and it significantly cut the baking time. 14 mins at 350 F Perfectly moist! Wonderful recipe! Thanks Sasha! I love making your recipes to keep my family healthy but still often enjoy desserts!
I just made your wonderful recipe again and this time I added freshly picked blackberries from our own garden, instead of blueberries. The blackberries were used within only half an hour of being picked and they worked perfectly, making it feel truly special. Thanks a lot, Sasha.
Hi there Ruth! Thanks so much for making it again! Freshly picked blackberries, you can't go better than that, I'm so in love with fresh blackberries this summer. Hope you're doing well! Take care!
Do you know why I subscribed? Because you get right to the recipe, I don’t have watch someone fumbling to get things out of kitchen drawers or cabinets, and I don’t have to listen to unnecessary gibberish 👍 You did this recipe without butter and so much more healthier than other recipes I’ve seen on RU-vid; well done sir👏
I made this for my toddler and I and it came amazing. I left out the salt, I used 100g (8tbsp) maple syrup instead of 170g, I used greek yogurt instead of sour cream and I used melted unsalted butter instead of coconut oil. Also I used 130g blueberries instead of 120g :)
I've made the banana bread and this. My son asked for the banana bread again and I've made this twice. Just finished it again. Love this. Nothing compares. Thank you. Gonna try the lemon bars too. As you can see lemon is my favorite.
Hi Sharon! Thanks so much for your feedback! Same thing here, I'm such a huge lover of lemons in desserts, but kids always ask for something more sweet, and something with chocolate of course:) Have a great day!
Sasha, I am so glad that I stumbled on your channel a few days ago. I made this recipe earlier today and absolutely love it. It is so very tasty with just the right amount of sweetness. I can't wait to try some more of your other recipes in my quest for delicious and healthier food options.
Hi! Thanks for checking in! Yeah, this lemon glaze is pretty cool thing to make:) It adds more sugar and fat to the recipe, but it's delicious without the glaze too. I just wanted to make it complete, in its classic form.
This turned out so wonderfully! And I even had the issue of solid coconut oil, but the end product was delicious regardless. I substituted Greek yoghurt for the sour cream and used about 1/2 cup of frozen mixed summer fruits. Absolutely delicious, so soft and feels so healthy!
Hi! Thanks so much! As you can see, I got hooked on these lemony desserts, and yes, there's definitely something really special of this lemon blueberry combination. Cheers!
This is really good. Like, really really good. The combination of lemon and blueberry and honey is so tasty. Wow! One of, if not the, best healthy desserts I’ve ever had. If you’re wondering if you should make it, do it! You won’t be disappointed.
i made this lovely bread with blackberries i had to use up instead of blueberries. it was really good, more dense than other quick breads, but you feel like you ate something yummy and healthy! i made mine with my favorite honey. thank you for the wonderful recipe! :)
I made this cake yesterday, for the second time. It is really good! I added some candied cherries on the top. You are a star, Sasha! Thank you for this great channel!
Just made this recipe. Its REALLY good for a healthy version. A lot of other healthy recipes I am skeptical of because the texture or taste is always off. But this is moist and the lemon taste is super apparent (in a good way) I didn't have any vanilla so I used nutmeg instead. Next time I'll bump up the blueberries to 1 & 0.25 cup. Off to find more recipes to try from this channel!
One of the best cake I had made ever. Sooo delicious 😋 I think the glaze is very important, please, dont be lazy to make glaze too :) thanks for recipe
Thanks for the recipe, it is really tasty! Instead of blueberries I have used sour cherries and it worked out great. Honey made the consistency quite thick/dense, but I like it. Will try agave next time or maple syrup. It is more like a savoury bread, very yummy.
This bread is just so nice! To me it tastes like a blueberry scone. I do confess, I cannot tell a lie, I used melted butter instead of coconut oil. It is delicious. Thank you so much for this recipe.
I am so glad come across to your Channel and finding a great recipes for super healthy delicious , nutritious baking pastry . Thanks again for another great recipe 👍
I just found this channel tonight and am loving it! Such gorgeous food and at the risk of sounding like a creep, I’m loving your voice! The accent is just beautiful to my ears ❤️
Hi there Missi! Thanks so much for all of your kind words! So glad you find my videos interesting, and for the voice thanks for making me feel good about it! Have a beautiful day!
Ok...I admit, I was questioning your recipe with a longgggg pause when it came to the coconut oil but I went along with you bc you were in the driver seat. Only changes I made: didn’t add the lemon zest bc I don’t have a grater right now, sub egg replacer for the eggs bc I’m mostly vegan for the current moment and it still was a HUGE success!! You DID that recipe my brother!! Thanks for sharing 🥰👏🏾🍋
I just made this today and I think it is delicious!! First time to use oat flour , which I think maybe I didn’t grind it up enough, but it still worked. The only thing I will do different next time is I will use Refined coconut oil because I don’t like the tropical taste that the unrefined oil has which I can taste a little in this batch. I like that it is not super sweet and the oat flour is way better than regular flour. It feels better , my stomach doesn’t feel weighted down. Thank you so much! I can’t wait to try your other recipes.
Hi Sharon! Thanks so much for your amazing feedback! Yeah, the unrefined coconut oil influence the flavor quite a bit. That's why I love oats so much, they're so satisfying and I just digest it better then any other flour. Hope you'll like the other recipes as well! Take care!
I've never thought about using oat flour for a cake. Very interesting. Gonna try it out today since I've got too many oats at home anyway ;-) looking forward to it....
I tried your mousse and now I’m going to try this recipe!! Your channel is a bliss in this oh so unhealthy world. I’m happy to have found your friendly channel 💕
I made this with plain greek yogurt and it was sooo good! I didn't think it would taste so delicious but you could taste the lemon and blueberry which goes so nicely together. I made these in muffin tins so perfect for portion control because its actually so hard trying not to gobble these all up:)) thank you
How To Cook Smarter, thank you so much for this wonderfully delicious recipe. I am up late at night with one in the oven baking now. This is my second time making this and it came out so wonderful, just as you said. I was so craving another one, I could not wait until the morning to make it but it will be waiting for me in the morning to have along with my morning coffee. The first time I made it, it was eaten up in about 5 days (by myself)! LOL. Thanks also for all the other wonderful oatmeal recipes. I will be trying them out soon also. I am so excited to finally find recipes that won't make me sick because I am gluten intolerant and I never knew how easy it is to bake with oatmeal, which I Love. I will also check out your other food recipes. You have become my favorite Cook on RU-vid. Blessing to you, How To Cook Smarter.
Thanks so much Sheila for your amazing feedback! Yeah, I had the same problem here after the actual filming, it was so hard to stop on my third slice:)
This cake is REALLY GOOD!! I seriously love your channel, I use it a lot. And thanks a ton for writing the amount in grams as well as my country does not use cup for measurements
Hey sasha The loaf looks absolutely perfect I loved the soft texture of it The berries in every bite will give yummy taste to it😊 I'm a big fan of your healthy recipes 👍
I have Celiac disease and definitely I'll make this recipe. I love your videos and I made your oatmeal bread a few days ago, it was awesome. Thank you so much 🌺❣️💐
Hi Zahra! That's great, I'm so happy you'll be able to make and enjoy this sweet bread. Thanks so much for giving it a try with this oatmeal bread, I did it couple of days back too. Have a great Sunday!
You are my favorite! I've tried carrot pie, banana bread and today this bread, it's absolutely amazing, delicious and has a perfect combination of all ingredients. Thank you!
Hi Natalie! You rock! Thanks so much for trying out these recipes! I agree, this lemon blueberry bread is just a great combo of sweet and sour. Have a great day!
I made the bread but I used spelt flour and it turned out good but I didn't know how much ingredients to measure for the lemon glaze and it didn't turn out good. But enjoyed it. Peace and Blessings. G🌹
Hi! Thanks for trying it out! Love the variation with spelt flour. You can find measures for the lemon glaze in the description below. Have a great day!
