▶️ How to make lemon juice invisible ink:
Step 1: Start with one large lemon cut it in half and then squeeze the juice into a small container.
Step 2: Take either a Q-tip or a small paintbrush and dab some lemon juice onto the end. Use this to write your secret message on a piece of paper or cardstock.
Step 3: Watch as it dries almost completely invisible.
Step 4: Now it's time to reveal your secret message. Take a clothing iron and turn it on high.
Step 5: Slowly glide the iron across the piece of paper, making sure not to leave it long enough to catch the paper on fire. Areas painted with lemon juice will become a dark brown color revealing your secret message.
▶️ How lemon juice invisible ink works:
The reason this works is that the lemon juice actually undergoes an oxidation reaction at a lower temperature than the paper turning a dark brown and revealing your message. Now, if you don't have access to freshly squeezed lemon, don't worry-you can also use dehydrated lemon juice powder it works just about as well! And there you have it-how to make invisible ink using lemon juice.
