This looks like a children's toy cage for their toy hamster. It was lovely to see Miranda. 😍

The only "small animal" I can think of that this would be appropriate for is a juvenile tarantula or scorpion and even then, because of the door placement, you can't add enough bedding to 1. Allow for burrowing and 2. Prevent injury to your arachnid if they fall. So it can't even safely house one of the easiest to care for companion animals out there. Pass! Also your channel has been a huge help lately. I work in a pet store and my co worker adopted one of our hamsters (with only had one eye) and asked me for some advice. He got a niteangel wheel and everything :)

This cage would be the sand bath for our hamsters😂 we have enclosures starting at 100x50x50 cm and bigger than that, no bars. German standard, smaller enclosures than that and barcages are illegal here thank god❤👍

I remember having a toy robot hamster. It had a larger cage than most hamsters. Today I updated the hamster at the animal rescue I volunteer at from the tiny cage he’d been dumped in to the largest cage we have. Felt really good to transfer the (in my estimation) probably elderly hamster to his new cage. At the rescue I always try to advocate for the smaller animals, because they sometimes get forgotten in the department I work at. (Small animals, but usually it’s called the rabbit department instead) The rabbits have pretty large custom cages though (if we’re not too full) but for the other animals we just rely on either what people donate to us or what the animal was surrendered/found in. I at least finally got the them as far as to buy appropriate bedding for hamsters.

I'm left handed too and the struggle is real! I taught myself how to use scissors with my right hand, cause left handed ones suck from my experience. It's definitely frustrating when you build cages and have to cut stuff open or use certain tools haha. Love your videos, they make my day Munchie. I think that might be about the same size as the dig box I have from Bucatstate. 😭 Edit: went to measure the Bucatstate Dig Box, internal measurements approx 9.5 x 7 inches = 66.5 sq inches.

Oh god what you said at the end about these ending up in landfills. I hadn’t even thought about that. That makes me so angry. Here we are with plastic straws getting banned but in the meantime these crappy cages get mass produced only to end up in the trash one way or another.

Review the Rodipet Nagilarium XXL. Both medium and large are bangers of enclosures and they do wheels with really unique features! It is designed so hams can run in a straight line, and designed so they don’t go upside down. I have 2 gerbils and I’ve seen them run on it together side to side

If you could get a hold of them please review the "Savic Spelos XL Entry Mouse and Dwarf Hamster Cage" and the "Classic Premium Small Animal Glass Home Large". They are the two worst rated cages still sold by the largest pet shop company in the UK. The fact they call them "XL" and "Large" is ridiculous.

If you want to take a look at a pretty underrated cage I’d say try the Bucatstate metal small animal cage (the 100 cm one). It’s around 775sq and after using it for about a week I’m pretty happy with it overall except the assembly was a pain😅 But since it’s one of the better Niteangel options available in Europe I’m sure your European (and US) audience would appreciate it a lot!

The Savic Plaza now comes in a 120cm size if you can get hold of one! 😂

Disgusting. The spare tiny enclosure I put my hamster in while I clean his cage is twice the size of this.

I get that people don’t know better sometimes. But I can’t even imagine putting an animal in there and thinking that’s okay. Even the regular horrible hamster cages are bigger

Now I see this in my own eyes, tiny cage. My friend has got two dwarfs and she is legit using this exact cage! I told her please is way to small please change your cage. My dwarf is in the 80x50cm cage and guess what, she said I am crazy and why give a large cage which they didn't even need. I talked to her about proper care and because of this, we aren't friends anymore. Stubborn people who things small animals only need tiny things but in fact they need large space to run, strive and survive :(

The fact that there are actually people out there who are housing their hamsters in something like this is absolutely disgusting

I don't use Amazon much but I have learned the hard way that you shouldnt trust hamster supplies from there unless the supplier is a reputable brand (ex Niteangel). For this enclosure, obviously people who know a thing or two about hamsters would clearly see it's no good, but not everybody knows. I wish they wouldn't allow enclosures like this on the site since they're unsafe, but Amazon doesn't give a damn about anything but profit. This really goes for all hamster supplies not just enclosures. But whoever needs to hear, please save yourself the time and the hassle and just don't buy cheap off brand stuff like this. you'll most likely either need to return it, have it break on you, or worst case scenario cause harm to your pet.

The person who said it fits 2 small gerbils, sounds like most people I've met where I live. I get so angry!! And people keeps telling me that my cages for my animals are not necessary and take too much space. I hate that so many people don't understand! And also, a bit funny but the person who said the cage isn't clear probably just didn't take off the protection paper... Miranda is too cute!!

This cage might be okay for a small pet spider, or insect. It kind of looks like my brothers cricket cage for the crickets he occasionally feeds to his gecko.

Can you please please try to Review the Petco EveryYay Small Animal Tank Topper 20 gallon High, They just released these in my store and I really really want to see you do a review of them, they also made them in 40 gallon breeder tank size! I want these to be good options to Gerbil owners and want to see your opinion on them before I suggest them.

Looks like it would be kinda cute to take pictures of really small baby mice in there. Don't think I would even use it as a nesting box.

A perfect cage for my new pet ant! A hamster, though? No way. I’m surprised something that small is legal to be sold marketed as a hamster/rodent cage. Wish there were more laws to protect small animals, and perhaps more qualifications for them to be adopted to help prevent people from stuffing them in little tissue box sized cages.

Bought similar model for my first hampter, but i think my model is better? Or you assembled it wrong 😂 The holes are for bathing ball, and probably tunnels. I changed it as soon as I got salary because the hampter had fun chewing on the walls ventilation. Since then I learned, never buy enclosure with ventilation on the walls.

Slits on the bottom is a big NO. Feet and toes can get caught and cause injury to the hamster.

I’m not sure if you’ll see this or not, but I have a few questions if you have the time? .. so I am thinking about getting either a male Syrian, or group of maybe 4-6 female mice, I have a 60 gal aquarium… I’ve always heard female hamsters tend to smell more than males, bc they’re very musky when they’re in heat, do you find that to be true? Also, how bad does a group of female mice smell? I know male mice cannot be housed together, & they’re apparently pretty smelly as well? Also, I know Syrians are solitary, & most dwarf’s do best alone as well, but I’ve seen mixed things about robos, can female robos be housed together if they’re from the same litter? .. I know people probably don’t usually worry much abt smells but I live with my sisters & they’ll definitely complain about it lol. What would you recommend?

Hey Munchie, would you consider this size of caging good for quarantine? for maybe a few days of holding? Because I would imagine the size would be food for holding or so since it would probably be easier to clean and hold an animal for maybe a few days or so..Maybe not THIS specific cage, but a similar size.

I don't like that cage I do bin cages I have a hamster and a gerbil the gerbil has a bin cage and the hamster has a bin cage to it alot more space for them
