In all of the interviews Lena never lays any blame for her problems anywhere else. Even in the later interviews when she is obviously ill. Always deflecting rather than saying something that could offend someone else. It's a measure of her character that she didn't do that.
Her grandfather later settled in western in glasgow,we as kids used to always go visit this wonderful receptive kind man and we were amazed at the fact that we where sharing time with Lena's Grandad...Broke my heart to hear of her demise
Lena was do modest and white shy. A wonderful talentef girl who probably started to young in showbiz. Perhaps her problems would have been less had she stayed at home either her family and gone into the business at 18 or so. We will never know. A terrible tragedy to have lost her at 35 and to such a an awful disease. Lena you are missed and loved very much always. 💗💗💗
Such a gentle sweet modest person, Lena really was born to sing and perform, you could almost think this was a different person to the powerful confident singer she was, not at all the precocious child star people sometimes accused her of being.
In ways Lena reminds me very much of Princess Diana. She was so cute and so personalble and precious in this interview. Thanks so much for posting this.
