I'm typing this 13 years after this video was filmed. Lol. I'll bet you guys hoped somebody in the future would benefit from your work - and I (plus other current viewers) are! Thank you SOOOO very much.
I was thrilled with your tutorial on the lendrum. I bought my first and only drop spindle kit from you a few years ago to start learning how to spin. I joined a guild and just received their loaner lendrum to start learning on a wheel. Thank you for these 2 videos to get me started.
This was good to see! I have a Lendrum and have been spinning for 2 years now and wish to learn more. Could you please do a teaching video on what 'ratio' means and one on lace-weight spinning. How do we control the thickness of our spinning to equal a consistent number of 'wraps' per inch? Thank you very much for these videos..! They are very helpful.
I realize this was made many years ago but wanted to say that I thought you did a really good job showing how to put it all together in order to get spinning. Will have to do more exploring to find out about best practice for maintenance such as oiling and caring for the wood. THANK YOU!
Thanks for the Lendrum videos. I'm looking forward to your segment on the plying head, especially changing the drive band. Another video that would be helpful would be the care and maintenance of a wheel--oiling, storing, replacing parts, examining for wear, etc..
When I tried to take the standard flyer off it wouldn't budge. I followed your video, so simple... it is a second hand wheel. Could it just be stuck? I didn't want to pry it.
