If you weren’t a part of the rave scene in the 1990’s, it was probably the most epic time of my life. And I’m happy I got to be a part of that, because I don’t think anything will ever be able to replicate the magic that that scene created.
Agreed. I was a part of fun crew back then, big shouts to HUGEMASSIVE. That scene can never be replicated, it was a special mix of time, music & scene and went on for many years. TY to all of you dance floor monsters of soul, it was just so fun every weekend! Running through woods! haha! OMG! Under bridges, I believe 178 th st? someone correct me. The West side park was it too? The Brass monkey parties, Uptown Underground, I mean. TY to all of you people, crews or just dance floor groovers, it puts a smile on my face. Glad I found this. I use to zone out to bones while riding my bike around nyc from jersey. Even did a dance routine in a gymnastics class for my undergrad to 'its a dirty job'. Rest of class thought i was nuts. Keep spinin brotha!
Mr Lenny Dee, a god. Damn he used to hit it hard. Sadly there is not taste for the harder beats today, the drugs are boy there and today's youth hold phones, not water bottles. I first heard Lenny Dee at Big Love Universe, still one of the best Techno sets ever, hard as fuck, pure German hard gabba. Amazing set. This man is a god.
