It's fun when young people find out just how cool older people can be. I was driving around with my son and a couple of his cousins one Saturday around 2011-2012. All three boys were about 11-12 years old and I was in my early forties. This Lenny Kravitz rocker came on the radio and my son, in one of the rare occasions when I've heard him brag on his old man, said, "My dad can play that." His cousins, in great disbelief said, "No!" "No way!" Without saying a word of rebuttal, I drove to the house, plugged in my guitar and let rip with the song from start to finish. Their mouths immediately fell open and their eyes grew wide with amazement! Although that's been a number of years ago and I no longer play due to neuromuscular issues in both of my hands, I secretly smile to myself every time I think about it. If their old uncle has ever been "Cool," I was cool for that moment, on that day.

In my opinion, this is one of the greatest riffs to ever open a song. Gets you hooked IMMEDIATELY

How could anyone not like this song? This has got to be one of the best song's of the 90's. It has everything you could want from pure rock and funk. It has been important in the revival of Jimi Hendrix to a new generation not to mention one of Lenny's best songs. Rock On Bro.

That chord progression over top of Craig’s solo is still one of my all time favourites. Suits it beautifully. Magic. My favourite however is Van Halen’s “Feel Your Love Tonight”. Ed’s rhythm playing over top of his solo is magic as well. To come back to Lenny. This song though still puts a smile on my face every time I hear it and takes me back to when I bought “Are You Gonna Go My Way?”. One of my favourite albums to this day still.

One of the best songs of the early 90's... wore this track out in 93. Can't believe how quick the 70's revival rock came and went at that time. If you'd asked me when this song and video came out, I would have told you that everything was about to trend that way and away from grunge (though I loved grunge at the time, too).

OH MY GOD HUGE CHANGE TO THIS SONG. The light descending at the beginning and the way his hands are outstretched makes it look like Jesus on the cross. And 'are you gonna go my way?' It's like Him asking us to join and walk with Him!!!!! DUDE!!!!
