If you watched to the end you’ll hear Mick talks about his gym trying to rehabilitate the youth and pull them away from violent crime and for me that’s worthy or respect, as most sit back, do nothing and wait until they read about it in the news! - men will always fight, but please put the knives down!!!!! If you enjoy these conversations, please remember to like & subscribe to the channel.. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼

We had a rule on our doors ..you want to fight like a man.u will get treated like one..yeh I've been bottled by one.kicked up the balls by one and they got the same as a man would right hook .left cross...as lenny would say good night .God bless...that's why I gave the doors up too much pussy footing about now...and jacket fillers afraid of a good tear up..I've helped the old bill out a few times only to get nickedby the same ones....the good old days are gone..

@seanscanlon9067
@seanscanlon9067 3 месяца назад
Legend, really? That word is thrown about far too easily these days and that is said with nothing against Mick Theo personally. I was into weight training as a kid and used to buy Bodybuilding Monthly magazine because it featured more UK bodybuilders than American ones, which being from south east London myself, I could identify with more. I even followed an abbreviated routine once that Mick Theo did when the magazine listed his training workout when doing an article on him. The only other thing I remember about him from the magazine and that era was when he walked off stage, throwing his trophy away after he was presented with it because he did not win. I did know about him working the doors and the Lenny McClean connection and had heard the broken ribs story too. Then when his name first reappeared a few years back regarding fighting John Fury, everyone seemed to be calling him Micky rather than Mick and I was not sure at first if it was the same bloke, because I had not heard anything about him for decades and it sounded strange to me like suddenly saying Micky Fleetwood, Micky Hucknall or Micky Jagger.

You're dealing with an expert in bareknuckle warfare. A man who's the best with catapults, horseshoes...and his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, and live off the land. Eat things that would make a starving lurcher puke. At Appleby and the Epsom Derby, his job was to dispose of his enemies that were involved in a family feud. Liam, after watching your initial podcasts, I must admit that I initially thought, "I've seen this countless times before; it will last for a while and then fade away." This perception arose whether it was in notorious countries or through social media, and it seemed to be more about self-promotion rather than active listening and taking responsibility at times. However, with these latest podcasts, I found it to be more productive, engaging the audience effectively, posing insightful questions rather than average ones, and exuding confidence in asking the right questions. Keep up the excellent work.

Every single word Mick said about Lenny was true. He always said goodnight, God bless. I knew Lenny for years. Last time I saw him he was getting a friend of his a equity card. I noticed he didn't look well. Was sweating and it wasn't that hot. A few months later I heard he was ill but didn't know exactly what. He really trained hard.

The same freind did the same in another club, and the bouncers took him into a back room and kicked the crap out of him. Years ago, bouncers didn't care about the job, they only cared about their reputations. These days they are more professional in my city anyway.

Great chat about the side affects of steroids. Hormones have a crazy effect on our whole body. Whilst I never suffered impotence or rage, I did steroids with no knowledge of PCT, I have a great life but the hormone down swing left me in a really dangerous near suicidal state of depression. I would earn any young or current user about that. I had no reason to feel that way purely the hormone test drop. I also suffered liver and bowel damage that put me in hospital for 12 weeks. If you're gonna do it and most bodybuilders do, then get good advice, it's out there.

Good interview Liam 👍 As Frank Warren always says, Lenny McLean was a bully, as it seems like Theo was at a time also. I hate those type of guys and remember well when bouncers were like that in the 90’s. No need for it in my opinion, especially as it was usually against weaker people etc. Obviously there are occasions when some people may have needed a quick smack but to do it to customers for no real reason is embarrassing, definitely not a real man in my book.

I know one fella of that class known as “BIG CHARLIE” 6ft 11in 31stone with abs!!! He is smaller these days but when we was tight in the mid 90s he was a absolute unit he would walk up dunstable high street in the summer wearing a white tight vest and he would stop traffic he was enormous.
