Thanks for the information. I bought a Lenovo TB-X 505F 10 inch tablet for my wife. While she was picking up the tablet, the screen cracked from the corner on an angle. Still working I decided to replace the screen and Led display. I couldn't get the screen to come on at all.mess around with the power button and everything I viewed on RU-vid videos. Then I watched your video on the connection problem. I pushed that little ribbon cable in until I was satisfied with a magnifying glass.to be sure. THE SCREEN CAME ON AND IT WAS FIXED. YOU ARE THE MAN. Your video was the only one that mentioned the problem with a easy solution. I'm getting her a case and screen protector so I don't go through this challenge again. Thanks again, Bob K. From Pa.
I had a different model, but had the same issue! Thanks for taking the time to upload! Worked like a charm. The flex cable looked like it was plugged in but I removed and reinserted, BOOM! Video works again! Thanks again!
After trying all the pwr on pwr off crap that didn't work, I finally found this video and sure enough my ribbon cable was disconnected. Connected it and now my screen works like a champ, so thanks again for the simple directions.
I have 60046 model that battery run completely empty showing the empty battery when off in the charging process but never charged.I found battery ribbon cable cut inside the battery tube, made connections with stripped thin copper wires and finally the tablet got charged in 100% after 26 hours. After that it needed a hardware reset also to come in fully working state.
This is exactly what the problem is. Unfortunately don’t understand which strip to push in as you mention to line up with the green tab. It would be helpful if you pointed to the part you are talking about please.
Hi there is normally only one broad strip inside unit of about 15 to 20 mm wide I suggest you check the connection on all the strips on the model you have As this repair is just in general Synopsis and not model specific
Quite possibly however I am unfamiliar with that tablet but if you are getting a HDMI output it sounds to me me like the backlight has failed on your tablet more often than not there is a ribbon cable that links the screen with the main board this is normally located near the hinge I suggest you try looking around there it could be that the ribbon cable has pulled out likely due to the opening and closing of the tablet if your tablet does not have a lid then it is definitely your back light
Hi. My Lenovo takes forever to charge up. It could be at 20% and I charge it for like 3 hours & all I get is a 4% top up (24%) no matter what charger I try. Is this normal for this device? I just got it from a friend, any advice please?
David Patts the battery inside your tablet is a lithium ion battery the problem is lithium ion has to be kept charged at all times unlike old fashioned batteries which had to be flattened to keep them in good condition it sounds to me like your battery has been discharged too much and therefore you are having trouble applying more current to it. With lithium ion if you put too much current in ie you use the wrong type of charger you run the risk of it exploding either try and get a replacement battery Or bin the tablet
Throwing the tablet away is not an option. The tablet has not been in use for a while & I just recently tried to use it but the battery was empty & I had to charge up. It gets to 60+ percent after hours of charging, but then, no matter what level it got to, topping up a bar of charge always take forever & it ain't pretty. What else can I do?
Kawaii Petals does it still turn on and off when you plug the power supply into it if not then you have a battery issue if it still turns on and off with the power supply connected then I would tend to think it is the power regulator inside or the power connector is on the verge of coming loose from it's opposite mating part either way you still have to strip the tablet down
Hi it appears to be the clear orange coloured ribbon cable. on the end of the ribbon itself ,it is strengthened and there is an indication line which in this case was white. I found that the white line had to be as far into the connector as you could get it without damaging it , you then click the connect closed which locks the ribbon in place hope this helps you as it has helped many other people take care keep safe
I suggest you try again it's really a quite precise connection if you are a fraction of a millimetre out it will not work . I have had so many positive feedbacks over this fix I cannot guarantee works for every tablet good-looking getting it sorted
