I ended up getting this P32u-10, and am very happy and satisfied. I am a creator professional, not a gamer. Above all colour accuracy and design matter most to me regardless.

Please answer this: Have you felt that the very bottom part of the screen gets very warm (almost hot) unlike the rest of the screen, and this heat coming off makes you feel sick? I don't have this monitor but I have ordered 2 monitors from different brands, but they share the same looking enclosure, where the top and side panels have no bezels but the bottom has an almost 1" bezel, and both of these have made me feel sick! I am certain is not from staring at the screen, it happens by merely being near it, I had to return them both because of this. Now I fear if I buy another that has the same looking bezels, the same will happen. and I do mention the bezel design because I had several other monitors different bezel designs, and none make me sick. Strange!

@@dontfearthereaper2887 No, not with my P32u-10 monitor. Bottom part is only very slightly warmer than rest of the screen but one will not even notice it. I never felt the difference until I read your comment. It is not 100% consistent but I would say maybe 2-5% warmer than rest of the screen, and that's about it. I mean you would have touch it a couple of times to feel the difference but hot? No way! There's no heat coming off or anything like that. My monitor stays on 24/7 and goes to power saver mode automatically. Its bezel never given me any issues whatsoever. Because its 32 inch so maybe that's why. But it's pleasure to use for work from home environment. I also use it for work and using ThinkColor app for desktop partition really boosts the productivity. Since I am primarily a Mac user (Photoshop, Indesign, Logic Pro X and Final Cut Pro), I sometime regret buying this, not because it has any issues. It really is a great monitor, even after more than a year (14 hours/day) usage. I wish I opted for LG's ultrafine 5K monitor that was specifically made for Mac. I have one of them, and I should have added just one more. Because adjusting brightness is pain for Mac users. But again, this is fairly common issue with all other monitors. I also use this monitor for my Hikvision 4K NVR for home security. The only thing I don't like about these monitors are button controls. They are sort of inconvenient to use, I always end up pushing the wrong button when working in total darkness, when switching between my Mac and PC. Wish if there was one more HDMI or Thunderbolt port as I need to run three sources parallel. I also don't like the startup logo, but that just me. There shouldn't be any startup logo. These monitors have backlight bleeding so I had to sent back about 3 monitors to Lenovo, and kept the one with minimum bleeding. Perhaps an issue with the batch available at that time.

Color accurate doesn't mean it will "look better" it means it will look accurate to the color of the image.

would you reccmomend this model (P32-u)? or the newer version P32-p? As far as I can tell from looking at the specs, it is that the newer version has the s-RGB color Gamut. But looking at several reviews, it seems this particular modelhs a pretty sweet illustration.

@FabsterClapster

@@dontfearthereaper2887 Good Morning. No I didn't bought either. I ended up with the Benq pd3220u. I can absolutely recommend this monitor. It's a bit expensive, but I got it from ebay small ads for about half the price. Nevertheless, the Lenovo seems to be a good choice as well and similiar, so if you can get your hands on it, why not. But both monitors are specifically for Photography, Video and Designing Purposes, keep that in mind. I guess the Lenovo is more for Photo Stuff.

@@FabsterClapster I have the BenQ SW 2700PT which is older but same line of expensive hardware calibration, unfortunately I can't use it cause it makes me very sick almost as soon as I turn it on. Seem to have this problem with any wide-gamut monitors. I am stick with Viewsonic VP2768, a great monitor but only sRGB causee is the only one that won't make me sick. No is not form starting the screen for long, it happens almost instantly, even if I don't look at the screen at all, if it is on, it makes me sick. Radiation? I have no clue. Consider yourself lucky. I work in printing but can't use wide-gamut monitors! LOL what a joke. Yes I'm, going nuts.
@FabsterClapster
@FabsterClapster Год назад
@@dontfearthereaper2887 Okay, this is strange, and I wish the best for your health. I can somewhat follow what you're describing, but I wouldnt be sure if it's solely the Color Gamut, but your experience speak for yourself. I have never looked at a BenQ SW 2700PT, so I have no comparison. I went into an Electronic Store an looked at different Brands of monitors, and the only one's which were soothing to my eyes, where the Lenovos and BenQs. The BenQ I have now, has this hand calibration spinwheel with it, so you can instantly turn down the brightness or adjust color tones, so that helped me a lot with my eyes. First I thought the screen hadn't enough brightness even If I went on 100% Brightness, it seemed to low. Then after working a while with it, I realized, that I had to calibrate it totally differently. In the morning I turn the brightness down to about 20%, sometimes when I need to see more detail I go up a little bit. In the afternoon I turn the brightness up to about 60-80% Brightness. So what I wanna say is, I learned to look at the monitor in a more dim way, so the screen isnt anymore that flashy thing, thats melting your eyes, because you always crank it up. It's like learning hearing songs a little bit quieter than usual, you get used to it, and it really did benefit my eyes. Because It feels like looking at a painting and not a monitor (well something inbetween. Hope that helps. Oh yeah, and the screen is matt (probably yours too), so it feels more like looking at a kindle-screen. I love that and it also helps the eyes, cause there are less reflections from outside lights. The one bad thing is the acuity, it could be more sharp, so I sit a little bit closer to the screen as one maybe should, but since the screen isn´t that bright it's not straining or hurting my eyes.

I just inherited this one from someone else here. How the heck can you adjust the height? Is it just all the way down or all the way up? No in between?
@wintersthrall
@wintersthrall 4 года назад
If it's anything like my BenQ VESA stand, it's spring loaded to perfectly balance to the weight of the monitor. You just push it down or lift it up to the height you want and it stays there. Nothing to click.

Wondering, how low can you adjust its brightness in nits? Does it have PWM-less backlight (flicker-free)? How is Lenovo's backlight quality control - is it the same bleeding lottery as everywhere? Does this monitor have clean polarizator without brightness shadows, such as in these tests: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-meA9N0jqnHA.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C_kQpFOLhno.html ?

Six months ago before it went unavailable on the Lenovo's website I bought two of these. They're amazing. Few things to note - Pros - Panel is beautiful, 10 bit, not 8 bit +FRC, thin bezels, amazing picture quality, crisp text great specs, daisy chain two 4k monitors, factory calibrated, color software is awesome, no power brick needed, amazing viewing angles. 3 years manufacturer warranty Delta E is < 2 across the board. If you don't know what that is then you are looking at the wrong monitor. You can buy a much cheaper one with a higher delta E. I think Adobe RGB is 99% with 100% sRGB. The blue light filter is amazing. The ThinkVision software is very good to control the monitor. Cons - OSD could have been a lot better; it's hard to see buttons when screen is on. The chin could have been less bulky. No driver to this monitor (only color profile). I'm not saying that it needed one. Another biggy for me, I bought two of these and color temperature/tone are different on both. It's a panel thing; can't be fixed via software. I like both panels but I wanted them look same w.r.t. color temperatures. The stand must be changed. It's too bulky with big footprint. I had to buy an external monitor arm. Lenovo support could be better. The right hand doesn't know what left hand is doing. Also, this is 32" UHD monitor with 2 HDMI 2.0 port, 1 TB in port, 1 TB out port, and 1 DP 1.2 port. It also has USB hub as well which works great (It's not KVM switch).

do you know something about the follow-up version P32-p? It seems to be the same monitor but with s-RGB. Struggling if I get the "u" or the "p" version.
@hellorsanjeev11
@hellorsanjeev11 2 года назад
@@FabsterClapster I don't think P32u Will ever come back anytime soon. I also wanted to buy a 32-in monitor for my kid and I observed that P32U was always out of stock. I wouldn't be surprised if Lenovo canceled it out because of the high cost of manufacturing. I ended up buying a T32P for my kid which is not a factory calibrated or color accurate. Yes it has SRGB mode but it's not at the level of P32U, but it was of a lot less expensive. So to answer your question, You may want to go with P32P-20 but it will not come with thunderbolt (unless you want to buy two of them and you want to daisy chain them, which most people don't do) and Adobe color gamut. It will be factory calibrated though. If you want you can try Dell which may be more expensive than Lenovo.
