If you're able to access command prompt you can force reboot into BIOS with "shutdown /r /fw /f /t 0". Linux users, you can use "systemctl reboot --firmware-setup" or "bootctl reboot-to-firmware true".
Exact same thing happened to me. Got into bios with F1 to check memory size. Then installed SSD drive and installed Windows 10. Got an error that was bios related on booting but still loaded windows. Tried to get into bios but could not until I disabled fast boot. Thanks for the video. I was a loss before I watched it.
You may be able to do it just by pressing the F12 very very rapidly before and while you press the power button. Worked for me. Thanks for your information as to what the problem was, I would not have thought of it without it. Thanks, Braith
Thank you!! This helped me much with my lenovo g510 and windows 11. I had no ability to get in bios even though the fast boot function has been turned off. I turned it on and then of and saved this.😁
Computers have been around for quite some time now but they havent changed the bios system to be better. Who though this speed test to open bios was a good idea?
This worked for me! Thank you. I couldn't figure out why I could not get into the BIOS or Boot menus pressing any of the keys over and over again many failed tries. I followed this and it worked 1st time. Thanks again.
